Should i Upgrade To Th9?

Not sure if this is the right forum had no idea where to ask this
Well , let's continue iam a th8 planning to go th9 ASAP
U think its good to upgrade th now here's some info about my base

Please don't tell me max walls i won't just level 7 should be maxed check the tag for troops and stuff all my dark troops and spells are level 1 btw lol

About the walls thingy, if you don't do your walls you'll be eaten by the gingers, they get two more levels in th9 and th10 with max level can attack you. Jus sayin'.

If you upgrade for war, just don't. There's so much wrong with a war base like that without even dark troops (level 1 are worthless).
But, if you want to farm, going to th9 will yield better de and the archer queen to work on.

I'd still rather not upgrade with what you've got so far, wait a bit.

Go ahead...always could use another undeveloped TH9 to wipe up.

IMO, TH8 is the one TH level that should ALWAYS be maxed before advancing ( including walls). It's a whole new ballgame after TH8.

Nothing better to make the transition easier than having a maxed 8 going to 9 with full storages for immediate building of the new stuff. I went to 9 with everything maxed and all storages, collectors and mines filled. Boom...two days later they were all empty, and i was on the way to a mid level 9.

But it's your choice....i always appreciate easy bases to loot without a worry about Revenge.

I went up with defences not max and some research not done, as my king and walls were max. I do not regret it in the least, one of the best choices I have made in the game after maxing every other th level. Personally I wouldn't advise it before max king as all your attention should be on growing your new queen when you go up. King levels are relatively cheap at the stage where you are and build times short, so I would suggest max him while doing as much as you can on walls and the bigger money/time defences especially tesla, and for research max any outstanding regular farm troops, valks, rage, heal (if missing any of these), then go if you are feeling itchy for the queen, making sure all stores full (especially de) on the day th upgrade is done.

Edit: contrary to the poster above, of all the levels so far I would say 8 was the LEAST important to max. But going up just too soon on the king growth is not a good idea.

Personally, I don't upgrade my TH until everything is maxed, however, it's your game and you should choose where you want to be with it. I do think in your case upgrading to TH 9 would be less beneficial and I believe a lot of your fun will be taken away as you'll be raided by MUCH stronger opponents.

I'd say max your th before you upgrade.
But you can play it however you want, rushed or maxed.

If you aren't a war player, it's actually a good thing going to th9 ASAP to work on your queen (and pretty much make your upgrade schedule spin around her until th11). Just don't expect to defend loot at th9 - which could happen once in a blue moon if you max th8... In fact, if you are a farmer, your defenses might get you some "free shields" as a th10 if you pair them with inferno towers.

(Actually, sometimes, even if you are, other than for praticing some comps which, hopefully, you won't need to use again on war, th8 is a pretty useless th. My opinion doesn't really matter, tho, if your clan leader doesn't agree with me... Since you are saying things like "don't tell me to max my walls", you probably have an answer, already)

Also, it's worthy to note that, if you just don't want to get lvl 8 walls on th8, it's (very) ok - but if you have trouble farming them, maybe stepping up your farming is more important than going for th9 asap.

I.e. I'm not working on walls on my second accout, but I've sit to upgrade walls twice since I've started the second account. Had I not better things to do, I could easily get them all to 7 in one day and a nice lvl 8 core in one sunday afternoon, give or take.

Other than that, if you have max storages, lvl 5 goblins (that turn into lvl 6 goblins on the first week-ish of th9) and lvl 5 barch + 200 camp space, you can fix pretty much any rushed th9 if you have time to farm efficiently a little bit. Max CC for th also helps a lot.

Just can't wait for th9 i might max as much as possible in th9 iam using barch elixer is really easy for me might max quickly just need help in farming de other than that iam good

The entire TH8 is a waste of time, everything you can gain as a TH8 in 2 weeks is weaker than anything you can gain in 2 weeks at TH9.

Remember, every day you spend in TH8 is a day away from a maxed AQ

Maxing out TH8 is never a smart idea, never. You can do it if you want to feel good, to be called a maxer (whatever that means), or just go ahead and rush. ITs simply better for loot and DE. Heres a little post on why TH8 is a waste, OP.

As a maxed TH7 coming to TH8, walls alone are 126 million gold while all you're important elixir upgrades are about 20 million elixir in total. We are talking research, a dark barrack to level 4 and the new Dark Elixir drill. As a th8, we do not get to upgrade our camps and I did not consider the dragon upgrade because it becomes useless after th8 and the same thing applies to pekka.




Keep in mind only walls are 126 million gold vs the required 24million ( 28 if you do both barracks ) elixir. I'm not even going to calculate the gold required for defenses and clan castle because you can already see there is a huge imbalance in the gold/elixir required to max th8.




Before the next part, I have to clarify I only barch because the ROI ( Return on investment ) is the most efficient so far when you consider cook times vs elixir cost and ROI on gold/elixir vs elixir spent. Now, lets say you are fairly active and raid 10 times a day and you hit dead bases at 250,000 gold elixir each. Thats 2.5 million gold/elixir a day. You can do 5 level 8 walls, but if your lab is busy with say barbarians to level 5 who take 5 days and your DE drill is upgrading or maxed and so is your dark barrack, where does the elixir go ? No where, it sits there. Three days later of this same process and you have 15 walls at level 8 and are sitting at about 6.5 million elixir. ( some of the Elixir dissapears barching ). What will happen is you begin to overflow on elixir and it goes to waste. Once your barbarians free up and you start another upgrade, you will overflow in a day or two again.




This is when you become a beloved ATM to TH9s and fellow TH8s. If you insist on maxing TH8 the walls alone will make you lose a lot of elixir because there is nothing you can spend it on and this is why I believe rushing to be better. At TH9, you can put that elixir into walls and protect your elixir from being raided and doing level 9 walls. Not only that, but you can start working on your queen earlier and do your defenses in the meantime. You also have camps to upgrade at TH9 and 6 levels of Dark Elixir drills. This puts your elixir to much better use.




Heroes are the hardest grind of the game for some because DE can be a little hard to farm if you don't know the most efficient ways to do it. Another benefit of going to TH9 early is that DE is a lot easier to get due to how multiplayer matchmaking works. A dead TH9 with maxed DE drills provides 2700 ( thats without considering whats inside the DE storage ). As a TH9 you are more likely to find a dead TH9 than a TH8 and this your DE per raid can be a lot higher. I know this is not elixir related but, if you insist on maxing TH8 your golems, hogs, minions and valks require a lot of DE with prolongs even more the elixir wasted because you cant,as mentioned above, spend it on walls and DE farming at TH8 is extremely inneficient. I'm not saying it can't be done, but why handicap yourself ?
