My decidedly testier reaction was: well then, I'm so glad we are having a show trial so we can formally decide to do what we have already decided to do, but without taking any heat for the implementation because we "listened to the community" and "responded to their input", except we didn't really because we discounted the input we got as opinion, not fact from a few posters, not the majority of users. :/

This may be telegraphing the reasons why the mods could "consider" but will ultimately discount this whole thread: It's the opinion of a very small minority. :(
And I still do not understand why, if ALL options for implementing the FRS are not on the table, we are having the trial AT ALL. If the mods are going to implement it, why not just gut it up and DO IT? We've seen them take decisive action in the past, why not here?
And why does this trial last 60 days? Is it because the mods hope in 60 days the FRS will be another forgotten part of the forum?

I see the process that has been designed, and I know the outcome because I have been part of a governing body that has designed them -- except we never gave STRONG HINTS about our desired outcome. The Mayor is right: A well-designed process leads inexorably to the desired result. ALWAYS.
