And to OT forumers, this is like having reddit's karma system disabled for them. Demoralizing to the point I might as well don't want it at all.

I understand if you largely only populate that sub but bear in mind this is a Gaming forum so a system where people are able to build up a reputation based on their posts which may be about a thousand things not game related would be a little perverse? It's the same as post count. You could have 2000 posts on the SC forums and never post a comment in a game related sub-forum? OT Is what it is, a brilliantly random and sometimes mystifying crowd, chatting away at the bottom of the garden then vanishing when the big people wander past....
Cool!
This'll probably help clean up the forums of toxic posts.
Thanks for the new reputation system. I guess I won't fully appreciate it until it shows on mobile, I am never on a desktop.
I sure hope this system increases the quality of the forums after all I now have a "Rep to Protect!"

I'm on mobile and I see the reputation and I can vote. If you switch it to desktop it works.
This is a good idea but negative voting can be abused and it worries me a little. For example, engineering and rushing is looked down upon on the forums and if you show support to any of those strategies, I can see the downvotes coming in and there is also the chance of someone hating you enough to follow you and downvote you into oblivion.
I hope it works for the best. I've seen how bad reddits voting system is because of the points mentioned above. Some really good quality posts get downvoted and someone comes in and says "yeah boi" and gets 300 upvotes.
Dear moderators,
would you consider just allowing positive reputations instead of negative? Here are the reasons why:
1) probably users are more willing to give a negative reputation than positive.
2) as is in every forum, people cannot handle disagreements. They will use it to evaluate the opinion not the attitude.
this will cause war between pro-engineering and anti-engineering.
3) it might be used to bully certain players who hold a minority opinion, even though supercell dev team agrees with them:
for example, those who oppose allowing the use of upgrading heroes in war.
I know you are excited about this feature and you guys worked very hard for it. So let's try it and see how it goes but please keep in mind the above points. I could be wrong of course.
