Have Supercell mentioned anything about adding more tools for wars at all?
Sure we got friendly battles which is great for some but we need more tools!
In built ClashCaller for one and maybe even pop ups or push notifications whatever you call them!
Is there or has there been any information mentioned about this before and if so could links be provided? If not maybe we can push a question like this to the Q&A?

Clash caller can be a bit glitchy on some devices/browsers. And of course a fair few clans wouldn't even know about this tool. Then theres the laziness factor, going to the browser then typing the code (or returning to the game to check the code) then calling the base(s) (after going back to the game to check the numbers because you've certainly forgotten it) can be a bit annoying. An in game version would have almost none of those problems.
Easily be added? You know what happened wrt server lag when the waterfall was introduced? And that was JUST AN ANIMATIONAL GRAPHIC. Introducing a CC for every separate war would cause immense amount of data lag. With the thousands of clans warring at a time, it won't be good.Quote:

@Ninja if a clan is serious enough to require CC, they can use it externally. It isn't a very heavy sight and works properly 99% of the time.

Yes ofcourse if an update like this "breaks" the game then don't add it I agree, that would be just stupid!
But I was also asking if there had been any comments from Supercell in the past about adding more tools to war.... not to break the game but to add to it!

My clan runs discord linked with warmatch.us, a great combo. No need to navigate to web page for base calling as it can be done in discord as well.
If ur clan already takes further steps to better coordinate using clashcaller u don't really need an ingame feature of such. U would like to have such additions but they are not needed.
Seriously, sticking a name beside each base would cause server lag!?? Try and visualise how many messages are sent back and forth to the server while it updates the display on the war map - which is live for every attack showing stars gained, attacks starting and ending, 25% destruction etc. Even when you're scouting it's keeping up to date with changes - it shows within a scout if an attack starts or the best score on the target changes.Quote:

Also fwiw I have a really hard time buying the whole it'll cause lag defense. I'm not a programmer or anything similar but common sense would seem to say that as hardware and software have greatly evolved and this shouldn't be such a big issue. And if there really is a sever lag issue I'd gladly lose all my flags and windmill in exchange for useful in game tools. I'm sure an overwhelming majority would agree.
Something to think about SC. Sure there is some more data flowing thru the servers, but not much more than right now.
Add - Similar to the clan page, the war map could surely improve if there was a free text field at top, only visible by own clan, with war instructions, etc... (Cf CC comment line)
Examples:
- the 'flag' used to mark and record the best result of attacks on a base, could be used to mark a base as a dib, before any attack is made to it - first-come-first-serve of course - also whenever an attack is made that 'pre-flag' would be removed.
Not much more data than now imo, if done wisely.
- the castle request field during prep day has no use during war day, it could be moved to the opponent team bases on map and used to mark dibs (free text or allocated attacking base marker).
