friends and followers

hello I am new and would like to say how I love this game. I have requested friends through GC, but no one at the moment has responded, though I could be doing something wrong. Also although I buy from the newspaper I have only one follower. Please can someone explain how this works. I have looked on the forum under this topic but can 't find an answer. thanks.

Welcome Yorkenshaw. The game allows you to choose to follow up to five different farms. There is no limit on how many farms can choose to follow you.

You can follow a farm by tapping the tag in the circle above the smiley face when visiting a farm. The farms you follow will show in your friends tab, outlined in blue instead of yellow. The farms that follow you will be found on a separate Followers tab.

You can get new friends by posting in this thread:

It's helpful to include your GC ID and farm level in your signature (like i have) so that people can find you easily. Remember to accept friend requests through GC and that requests you send need to be accepted by the invitee - this isn't an automatic process.

Happy farming, and you wil find the game opens up a lot of benefits as you start to build up some GC friends.

Thanks I think I get it now. I went to a farm and purchased wool, added the friend, but didn't get the wool, still never mind.

You don't need to purchase in order to follow someone. You only have five slots though, so choose carefully. If you want to un-follow someone, just tap the same icon you use to follow.

Please,how do i see which farms i'm following,i must have Chosen 5 cos can't follow anyone else,but i don't know who they are.
Also have a friend who can't see me on her friendship bar, friendship,request on FB, can't find her on GC.
I can see her on my friend bar.thnxs

To unfollow, go to any farm that is highlighted in blue on your friends bar, then tap the tag above the smiley face in top right corner. It will say, "farm unfollowed."

Not for me

I've tapped on the follow tag an several farms, those farms do not show on my friends bar. Why follow a farm when you can't get back to it????

You can identify the farms that you follow in your friends bar by looking for the blue (rather than yellow) frames around the ID.

Following a Farm

Hi, I wonder if somebody could tell me why whenever I try to follow a farm I get the message all slots are full. I have 11 friends (Facebook) 2 of which have abandoned their farms, and 5 friends from Hayday. I also have 12 followers. I have 19 spaces open in the shop, and I am on level 47. I am wondering if the shop determines the amount of following that I am able to do. Any advice would be very much appreciated, thank you in advance.

Hi there. the number of slots on your shop reflects on how many friends you have on Facebook and/or Game Center. On your last shop slot, next to it you can either spend 5 diamonds or invite friends, there it tells you how many friends you need to open a slot for free.

You can follow up to 5 farms at max. I don't think the farms you follow reflects on the amount you need for the extra slot on shop. You can unfollow them by going into their farm (they have a blue frame on your friends list, go to their farm and tap the book mark icon to unfollow). Also having followers doesn't reflect on your shop slots either.

As for facebook, you will have to remove them from facebook to not appear on your hay day.
