Where on earth are all the cloche hats in DD coming from? Folk not just selling a few but 10 at a time.
People make the cloche hats to get the mastery on the Hat Maker. They use materials that are readily available, only wool and strawberries. So to make them doesn't put a strain on feathers or Coal bars.
I will make them when I need to make a little space in the barn. After all, 6 pieces of wool means now I can collect a few eggs or pick up feed. After a while, you realize that you have way too many hats in the barn.
They will eventually sell, especially if there is a visitor event. Even buying at full price can yield some nice rewards.
Remember when it used to be eggs all over DD? Now it's the cloche hats.
Back in 2014 when I started playing and reading the forums, people were always complaining about all the bacon and eggs in the paper. ;)

We need a Straw Hat added to the game, consuming a lot of Wheat and 1 piece of Cotton Fabric. At least then the Cloche Hats would reduce for some Straw Hats giving a bit more variety.

I make cloche hats when I have extra wool.
I like to keep harvesting my animals for the drops. And I can't use all that extra wool in the loom. So I turn it into red hats.
Mine don't go in the paper though. I'm saving mine for the next Visitor Event.
