the troops have are level 3 goblins archers and barbarians and giants and level 2 wall breakers level 2 wizards level 2 loons level 1 minions level 3 lightning spell level 2 heal spell and level 2 rage spell

Mate always do your lab first, trust me.
Yeah, get used to making lab your top priority at all times. Giants and barch are probably your best bet to help raid more loot and develop your base.
Don't upgrade your lab, it will massively increase your war weight.
When your TH finishes, the FIRST item to start upgrading is your Laboratory. You'll be attacking with prior TH troops, until after your Laboratory and troop upgrades finish, so Laboratory is always first.

Are you war oriented or farm oriented? If war, you should always upgrade lab asap to get those new levels on your war troops. If farm you should always upgrade your lab asap to get those new levels on your farm troops to farm even better.
