Wall costs

After all my walls gone made to lvl 7 @ 200k a piece I thought everything would be fine. Lvl 8 skull walls would be my last upgrade at 500k. Since the hero update and the 2 new wall pieces have been added the gold needed to max walls is just insane and I feel we need more gold from raids which is still pathetic at the minute or and upgrade or 2 available for gold mines to produce more gold.


heres the numbers:


Level 8 skull walls: 225 pieces x 500,000= 112,500,000
level 9: 225 x 1,000,000 = 225,000,000
level 10: 225 x 3,000,000 = 900,000,000


total cost is over 1.2 billion gold, that is just crazy and that's just for walls. Something needs to be done/added to acquire more good in my opinion

Agreed, the costs at those levels are absurd and make this a game for. Gem buyers only - which is probably deliberate.

Perhaps you just have to accept the fact that you are never going to get all your walls maxed, certainly I doubt that I will ever go above level 7 walls myself

Im that OCD i feel the need to eventually max everything out, damn you supercell :P

There'll be buffs of some sort, maybe on the next major update. But then there'd probably be a new TH with more unreachable additions.

It keeps the spenders and non spenders apart.

It is quite crazy. But not when you think how much that costs in gems, and that people have bought them to do it. Lots of them.
I also do not own a Lambourghini. If gemmers do, god bless 'em, I wouldn't complain about that, just look at it when it drives past. You don't need to have these walls. If you aren't at 2500-3500 cups, why would you need them?

Is still stuck with pathetic walls that are not even fit to guard a builder's hut, but enjoys raiding & chit chatting, so she doesn't mind the slow burn...

This will at no doubt be a time thing. I worked on upgrading my walls last night in going from 6 to 7, doing about twenty small pieces. I am about 3/4 of the way done. I am glad to see the pink slowly fade away as the purple is a more refreshing color to me at the point in the game, tends to go with the level seven Wizard Tower. I need to be patience with the game and have a builder available to work on the walls ......something I have yet to do. So I will keep on keeping on and time will work its way out.

When you spend 1.2 billions wait to see 10 wall breakers go deep in your village lol

This could be said with any part of the game...there is a jump spell, why upgrade any item to only see it knocked down?
I play for fun, if I had everything maxed and there were no updates I would probably end up getting bored with the game.

Level 9 and 10 walls are not for regular players, neither are the Heros.
Everything in the last update was for Gem buyers ONLY.
And not just the regualr gem buyers it was for the people who spend Thou$and$ and not even for people who are willing to spend $50 on a $10 game.

i thing they shoud make 300 new walllvels where the price increase is the same as before, 100 new cannons 50 new xbows
Ect ect ect. So gemmers not can buy it maxed;)

How about all of us stop complaining about the prices of the walls and start playing more :)
It would not be fun if all the prices were decreased and you would max out your village in 1 week...

Agreed its time consuming but you have to have a reason to keep playing...1.2 billion is gonna take a long time and will keep me going since I'm 12 upgrades from full building max out

I do not agree. I am lvl 57 and I have spend € 5,- on the game. Just for another worker. I got 8000 Dark Elixer now, so the Barbarian King is just about 2 days away :D

Walls are going to lvl 8 now so within a month the WILL go to lvl 9 without any gemming

Hmmm a month? Lol that would mean you will need about 7 to 8 millions every day for a all month and no life, just work on your 225 walls non stop :p That doesn't take into account any other upgrade cost. Possible of course and I wish good luck :) but a month seems to me a little optimistic

You're right. I havent done the math :o But my point is that it isnt just for (serious) gemmers.

it isn't, you can play it at all levels...there's just this whole time descrepancy.

I started in August...I'm probably an averagely active non-gem player...3rd builder some time in October I think, and I've just last night tapped to go to TH8. My walls aren't completely maxxed (prolly about 40 to go), and the only other upgrades are elixir pumps or 3 levels of barracks (1 is 7, 1 is 8). Defences / troops / camps / gold mines are all maxxed.
All stuff I can do whilst I wait the 8 days.

But I did some calculations and to get the barb king to level 30...would take almost 2 years...this is assuming a static DE gain...i.e. not losing it when defending and not gaining it in attacks. That's purely on the DE storages, the drills, and the hero, and assuming you have a builder free to do it all. 2 YEARS!

This is ignoring the Archer Queen, and whatever other upgrades you may want to do as well...such as walls.

So, yes it isn't stricktly for serious gemmers...it's also for those with a lot of time on their hands!!

Well Pedrolee claimed to get all his walls to Skulls in a week (those were the highest available before update). I don't see how it can be done in a week though with the ♥♥♥♥ loots available. He might be telling the truth or not but accumulating 16 million gold per day that's playing 24 hours a day seems impossible to me

I worked on the skulls walls also, it took me a all week to get 50 out of 225 and that's with looting a lot, I had a lot of free time. it is possible to get 5 or 6 millions a day, working very hard on it. More, I don't think it is manageable, I would be very curious to see how he could manage 225 skulls walls in a week lol id say lies :p unless he looted 500k each battle lol but we all know those are rare

He did do it in a week along with his friend mewko :P...we are in the same clan so i can confirm this.

He didnt sleep much and did a lot of grinding...also very few people knew about the <20 cup farming back then so he was getting 50k loots with only a few goblins so he can constantly loot without ever having to rebuild an army. I think they averaged 2-3 mil an hour (Pedro correct me if i am wrong).

Now its much harder. I heard loot down there is still pretty good, but when you log off, you gain 3-400 cups. So if you do go down there...you have to be there for many hours to make up for the money/time to get down there.

Wall costs in the latest update are definitely the smoking gun in Supercells greed for money from gems.

3million on a single wall piece. Give a break.

This was during the golden age of farming before the loot penalty. A couple million an hour was easily achievable back then by simply attacking the full collectors of low trophy level bases with small numbers of goblins.

Supercell should add more campaign missions! :) That would give more gold and elixir.

This is the clear problem as I see it.

The game was designed with a certain income, and certain expense that balanced it.

Now the expenses have skyrocketed but the income has not kept up.

The gems for achievements etc. all the same. Single player - no change.

They are patently just after gemmers now.

With the current hitpoints and prices of walls, I just cant see myself ever going past lvl 8. The cost just becomes enormous for such an incremental change. 1 million for a lvl 9 wall is just too much for me to justify by purchasing them. If I could make that much gold in a somewhat reasonable time frame, I would definatley get them. But the way it is now, I could play all day and barely put a dent in the total cost. Lvl 10 walls are just ridiculously priced, in my opinion. Pretty much exclusively for gemmers the way I see it.

From your point of view, yes. From SC's point of view, developing new additions enables them to create opportunities to make more money from spenders who have already maxed everything. I can understand that.

Yes the walls are more expensive...but yet you DONT have to upgrade it all.

These walls are meant for people in the higher levels cup that have excess of gold and dont have anything else to do with them since they have everything else upgraded. It now gives them something new to work towards.

The platinum age of farming was during the beta period where the single player refreshed resources each time you played it - the old boys all maxed their bases that way

Yup your right, oops on my part I must have added the lvl 9 and 10 walls together by accident. 225,000,000+675,000,000= 900,000,000 so a simple typo really. Throw on the 112,500,000 onto that and still comes out @ over 1 billion :)

I really dont see what the problem is. Do we want most people to get level 10 walls? Do you want to not be able to raid anyone because you cant get through anybody's walls. Im content to know that for the most part, i wont have to worry about trying to bust them down.

i'm happy with pink with a splash of purple..
need the gold to ug the other (similarly) exhorbitantly priced defences :(

I disagree...these prices give people like me something to spend gold on. Once your maxed there is nothing...this at least gives maxed out people a reason to keep playing

I've not nothin to worry about... My completely meaningless walls are nowhere near even half that level.
