Upgrade to TH9 without maxing walls?

Hey guys. Wanna know if it's ok to move on to th9 with purple walls? All other defenses are maxed. War and farming troops maxed too

Purple? You mean the pink one or the dark blue one? It's not really essential to max all walls at TH8, but there are lot more walls at TH9 than there are at TH8 (or at least they're a lot more expensive). So if you're already behind, don't expect to catch up easily.

Ask yourself these questions:
1) Am I wasting resources (in this case elixir and DE) by not upgrading my town hall?
2) Will my level 8 walls protect more resources than I am wasting?

If you are maxed out in storing either elixir or dark elixir, and you are happy with your army and defenses, then you should move on but spend some time prioritizing walls once you get past the major upgrades with TH9.

I doubt 1 level of walls is going to save you more resources than those that you will earn after some early upgrades at TH9. You increase your army size to 220, CC to 30, and spells slots to 9. As you increase your farming troops levels they will be more efficient too. And if you are farming gold for walls with nothing meaningful to spend E and DE on then it is a waste.

You should try not to be in this position for your next upgrade. Try to keep one builder free most of the time (after the big TH9 upgrades) and dump your extra gold into walls as much as possible. This will help you catch your walls up to your defenses.

For Th7 and TH8 my walls and hero were maxed when I upgraded but my defenses were not. Now at TH9 and having my 5th builder, my defenses should start to catch up even with keeping a builder free for walls.

Maxing walls at th8 is not that hard. once all your defences are done you can even upgrade all purple to skulls in 10days th upgrade time if you raid enough. just raid dead bases more often use hogs and giant healer to 3* th8 bases.

Upgrade, TH8 is an entire waste of time. Once in TH9, make sure to focus on AQ

It would be best to just upgrade the walls just so you don't have to deal with them later.

You can upgrade a lot of walls to lvl 8 on the way to TH9 - that's what I've been doing. I'm 1 day from finishing the upgrade and I've got a lot done in the last 9. Also, once you finish the upgrade, you'll likely be working on troops/offensive upgrades for a while and can spend gold on walls, that's what I'm planning on.

Upgrade asap, you will have such an oversupply of gold at start of th9 so you can continue on with them with no probs, I am 3 months in on th9 and I have nearly finished L9 walls without even really trying, just used spare gold

take into consideration I have only upgraded ad/sweeper, tesla & bombs/traps so if your going for defence first wall progress may be bit slower

my advice would be just to keep on top of them in future if you can so you don't fall too far behind, cos lets be honest a th10 or th11 without max walls just looks wrong

I agree with people who are focusing on what's fun for you. Walls are boring. If you can wait to do them while at TH8, it'll be much easier. People are telling you to do the walls when you get to 9, but you won't. If you could focus on walls, you would have already. There's so much more to do at TH9, walls won't be a primary goal. I can say that if I see a TH9 with purple walls and good loot, I'm all in. There are certain things that catch your eye when the clouds part and wall color is the first.
So I would say do the walls now but if it's making you not want to play the game, then upgrade your TH.
