My TH8 Vault

Hello clashers,
I was tired of using Pingfao and Junliang's TH8 bases. They served me really well and I suggest them. But, I wanted more. I wanted to make my own base. Inspired by OJM and the need for variety, I decided to make a vault base. You all are groaning, but I want to get feedback. Feedback about how to improve, besides switching back to segmented.

So. I'm going to make a pros and cons list.

ALL FEEDBACK APPRECIATED - UNLESS IT IS SWITCH BACK TO SEGMENTED

PROS:
Hard to get all of the resources
Centralized Clan castle
Centralized Wizard towers
1 Well placed AD
Few T-Junctions

CONS:
Crappy Mortar placement
Too easy to attack from north

Well, I'm not a pro at Vault layouts, you have to wait for OJM to do this work, but like you said your Mortars are horrible, try to fit them in the weird 1 square wide areas, by rearranging some walls of course. Your North is also, as you said the weakest spot, put your TH nearer to it, so that troops are attacking it first and that the north gets unnactractive to attackers due to it.

Try to combine your previous knowledge about funneling and stuff with your vault, it helped me a lot. (Jolt in the Middle is the name :rolleyes: )

Uhoh... :)

Ok, let's see what we got here :D

- Goblin-free core
- Exposed mortars
- 2 exposed ADs
- Proper T-junctions
- Effective anti-wb cloistering

There just isn't enough walls on TH8 to get 9x9 core, cloistered protection ring and cloistered outer layer. One of those has to go, but which one, that's your call :)

Even without changes, I think your defences can counter quite good number of attackers and as vaults are very attractive to attackers, I think you'd still get some funny replays ;)

You could test can you fit mortars to the tesla cloister spots and still keep the outer cloistering. ADs bit more deeper in would also drive away dragons&bloons.

On the scale of 1 to What?! I'd give it a "w".

The outer layer is WAY to large, and the Tesla's do NOT need huge amounts of walls.

Why, you might ask?
Everone wants DE. You want a shield for an attempt to get your resources, no matter how succesful attack :)

TH9 with both heroes can still roll in there, but that happens to every th8. But that will keep most attacks away from your goodies ;) Watch replays and place traps accordingly. That can ruin even the strongest attacks.
