Maxing out BK?

You may think its a con to upgrade him due to regeneration time. However, you'll start to get upset when you have a lvl 1 BK and everyone who revenges you has a lvl 10+ BK. Heroes are not a farming tool. Sure they help, but intentionally neglecting them because you want to use them to farm is just nonsensical.

As another poster noted, you probably don't need to postpone your TH upgrade while working on your BK. I'm def maxing mine at TH8, however, as I find him very useful. He's a great tank, and good to have in the army as backup. I keep him sleeping all the time, so not worried about him defending when I don't want him to. I've gotten used to the regeneration time(s), and find him overall to be a great troop.

There is no significant difference between 1 and 10 actually.

And there are much more cons.

Except for 73 DPS and 735 HP.

Don't hold off a TH upgrade to work on it... the prices for levels 1-10 become peanuts at TH8/9 with drills and higher trophy ranges. But do work on the levels when you can... a BK in its teens and beyond will really allow you to open up a lot more difficult bases, that a lvl 1 BK simply wouldn't be that effective against.

proceed to th8. the max level at th8 is 10 which isnt that hard to farm anyway, seeing as th8 has alot of stuff to upgrade, and is a very important level to max things at

Yes. This is more or less equal to one Giant or Hog Rider of the last level added to your army. HUGE power up. :D

If it was for free than it would be ok. But actually this tiny buff cost is:

1h 36m training time instead of 1h. For me this means having BK on each 3thrd attack instead of each 2nd on farm and waiting for additional 36m on trophy hunting.

227,500 DE. For example, this is 910 Witches, or you can use it for any troop that you like. Personally I use golems /minions/witches in different strats and have no problems with DE. Gold is much more valuable for me.

22d 12h of worker time. Which could be spent, say, for upgrading Wiz. tower from lvl4 to 7.
Worker time is a valuable resource and shouldn't be underestimated because CoC base progress is actually Red Queen's race - players upgrade cannons, devs add more cannons and levels of upgrade.

22d 12h of playing without the King.

Is it worth it? From my point of view - definitely not. If I was a person who wants to play at very high trophy range I would say "Yes".
