Sorry if this is a noob question, but I'm currently trying to max out th7 (almost done :D) and I can definately get him to atleast level2, maybe 3. But is it worth postponing upgrading my Th in order to max him out?

No. You'll be better off at Th8. That's when you should max.
If everything else is maxed I wouldn't wait.
Some people doesn't max heroes at all ;) Don't hurry to do this - you will not be able to downgrade him in the future.Quote:

I plan to upgrade my BK to lvl 10, for the visual enhancement from a grey glove to gold, and for his ability to one shot builder huts.
Since lvl 10 is his max lvl at TH8, this coincides perfect with being able to start upgrading the archer queen once you reach TH9, so you can leave the BK alone for a good while and focus on upgrading the AQ.
I would do a mini trophy hunt to 1700+ and see how high you can get him. Or you can do Minions, because the option of BAM at TH8 with Lv5 troops is awesome and Lv2 minions help a ton :)
DE Farming is easier at TH8.
