What Rose do you like most?

Now that Rose & Ernest have been around a while, and many players have either hired them a few times; or are simply taking advantage of the free trials when the present themselves.

Of the three feed options, which one do you think is best?

1: Feed all animals, keep extra feed
*This is much like how Rose was originally introduced to the game. She feeds all hungry animals, and always makes more feed.
This setting works Rose the hardest, while having the greatest potential for Feed Mill & Feed Task interference.

2: Keep extra feed, do not feed all animals
*This is much like how Rose v2 operated; she will only feed animals to reach her collection quota.
Example, if you set Rose to collect 20 Milk, she will harvest all 15 Cows, and feed 5 so she can later collect the following 5 Milk.
This setting is aimed at reducing interference for Feed Tasks in Derby.

3: No extra feed, only make feed when needed
*An extension of 2 where she also only makes feed when needed.
Example, if you don't want her to collect Eggs for, she won't make any Chicken Feed.
This setting helps reduce interference in your feed mill, which can further reduce interference for Feed Tasks in Derby.

After all is said and done, this does not matter much... Hay Day land ended up quite divided on the subject.

In other words, while I did not like Rose 1, Rose 2 made things worse.

Knowing Rose 1 in hindsight, loving her in earnest :D

I know now to be sure to have feed for all livestock before hiring her... all good!

I like Rose #1. My only complaint is she really doesn't do her job the way those check box indicate.

Hey, I've never tried hiring Rose. But I didn't let lack of knowledge or experience keep me from voting! :smirk:

The extra feed that Rose makes: does it go into your barn or does it go into a special Rose-specific storage area and, therefore, not get included in your barn?

Come to think of it... how about the animal products she collects? Does milk, eggs, wool, etc. go in your barn also or does it get stored elsewhere?

All of the items the helpers collect gets stored in their own storage. The higher your level, the more storage you get. I have not been offered the latest trial as yet, but when I did have Rose, the feed was a stored "in the cloud", that is neither in my barn nor did it count as her storage :)

Howdy Wussypuss! :) Thanks for the explanation! That's very helpful to know. I was reluctant to hire Rose because I wasn't sure about extra feed taking up barn space. Maybe I'll give her a try soon.

And yes, if I'd had this information earlier, I would have voted differently. :facepalm:XD

Before you start, make sure you have enough feed for all of your animals, i.e. 15 cows, have 15 feed, 18 chicken, 18 feed, etc.

Otherwise, she will be using your feed mills immediately!

Oooohhhhh. Thanks for the tip! So I'll need 66 available spots in the barn for protective feed.

Maybe after my next barn/silo upgrade then. I think only have about 5 free barn spots right now. :p

I don't care what they say, stuff goes in my barn no matter what setting it's on and messes me up. That's why I won't hire either one of them anymore, not even for free.

I think this is happening to me too.

I expanded my silo late last night and had a bunch of free barn space. Woohoo! Activated the free trial of Rose to celebrate.

Just now, I got a notification that my barn is full. :eek: I haven't been refilling my barn with much.

I added up the listed contents of my barn, and I should have 235 free spots. Checked the addition twice.

But the weird thing is that Rose doesn't have 235 things (including livestock products and feed) stored in her stock.

p.s. I'm still glad I hired Rose - just to see what she's about. Now that I've had the Rose experience, I can lower all her settings to zero until she goes back to her knitting. :D
