Questions about moving to TH8

Hey guys as some of you know im currently trying to pretty much max TH7. I have about 20 day of lab upgraded and I have estimated that I shall have maxe everything else in a month (excluding de stuff). My questions start here:
1. Should I upgrade my BK to level 5? (Im planning on getting him to level 3 at least)
2. When I upgrade what should I build/upgrade first? (I have 4 builders and I was thinking of doing: Upgrade Lab, Build DE Drill, Upgrade CC, Build everything else
3. What farming base should I use, Should I use Junliangs pokeball? Or design my own?
4. What troop shoild I upgrade first? (I was thinking Archer or Giant)
5. What is a good farming range for TH8?

When I moved up to TH8, I had a level 4 BK. He maxes at level 10 for TH8 so if you're a good dark elixir farmer, doesn't HAVE to be maxed at 5 before you go to TH8.

Definitely have one builder on lab. I forget what buildings you get, but I always build my storages first. So with four builders, I'd put one on lab, one on gold storage, one on elixir storage, and then one on a new defense (archer tower, wiz tower?) and dump any extra gold you have onto walls. Plan your upgrade times and stagger them is my best suggestion.

For TH8, I used a modified version of Officer Waffles' design. Not sure if he took it from somebody else. It worked great, especially if you've maxed TH7.

As for range, I was from 1050-1250 at TH8 for gold/elixir. 1450-1680 for dark elixir.

1. Your choice.

2. I prefer to build everything I can before upgrading. CC and Laboratory are important though.

3. Junliang's base is good for a town hall 8. if you feel creative, make your own and upload a pic of it here.

4. Upgrade which ever troop that you use most. I prefer archers, because I use Barb/Arch combo.

5. I liked 1200-1600. Your choice.

to find the best experience, you'll do best by experimenting on your own and finding your own mojo.

When i was Going to th8 i didn't have wifi for 2 weeks so when i got it back I had the worst of anyone going to th8. But i upgraded in this order.

BTW i have 4 builders.

- Lab
- DE drill
- archer tower
- Air defense
- archer tower eventually max.
- air defense to lvl 4.
- mortars to lvl 6 wizards to lvl 4 (bit premature Wiz)
so yeah thats how i went about approaching th8 and I'm doing great now!

An advice on using well desinged farming bases by forumers such as Jun Liang etc. These bases tend to neglect Elixir, and rightfully so since we tend to have extra purple goo. However, i would recommend to take care of your elixir during early stages of TH levels as lab upgrades, new drills, and new barracks can be quite costly.

Also, these bases tend to assume the max amount of defense for that TH level and might not work as well during the early stages of THs when new defenses are underlevelled.
