New way to calculate war weight and fix engineering

Hello,
Engineering really bother me, I think that the battle skills and strategy should be the most important in clan wars.
I though about a new system to calculate war weight and avoid taking advantages of the MM by engineering the roster.
The main idea is that any TH 11 with or without defense will always have a superior weight than a max TH10. The same rule applies for all TH.
How can we do that?
Set a max weight for all TH, for example:
TH11: 110k
TH10: 90k
TH9: 70k

Then, every building/troop/spell upgrade that is under the TH level will not affect the weight.
For example, if I'm a rushed TH10, i'll have 90k for weight automatically. If I upgrade an archer tower from lvl8 to 9, it will not affect my weight, I'll still have 90k.
But if I upgrade an AT from 11 to 12 for example the weight will be added. If I drop the TH10 new defenses It will also add weight whatever their level.

This way, in this example a single TH level will only have 20k of weight difference between a new/rushed village and a max village.
It will avoid having a TH11 with a minimum weight.

That will cause most wars to be unfair, as nothing will be matched at all.

You don't see a problem with your suggestion?

Umm, yeah I'm sure they thought of that lol.... The problem is that no one would want to upgrade their TH and be beat up in war for months. Imagine going from TH9 to TH10 and facing Max TH10s in war, when you haven't even build one new defense or even upgrade any camps, sf troops etc.. That would not be fun. The whole reason for war weight is to try to more evenly match and fairly match all the bases.

Your suggestion would simply reverse the problem. Clans wouldn't want anything but super maxed bases and people would need to sit out of war for ridiculously long periods of time. Yes, a solution needs to be found and I think a MINIMUM war weight for a TH is a good idea. IE TH11 weighs 90k, regardless of what is built or offense levels. This would stop the defenseless nonsense that has become so popular and a lot of the engineering.

If I upgrade to a new TH10 I will have 90k in this example, a max TH10 will have 109k. so you can still have a fair MM

But you said a max TH11 was 110k in your first post. So a max TH10 is just 1k lower?

If you mean that a TH11 should always count as at least a max TH10, then the idea has been suggested numerous times. It has problems in that few people actually max TH9 and 10 (including heroes), so they would be penalised after they upgraded.

You also seem to think that a TH11 can have very low weight. If it's got big troops it doesn't - those troops count to the offence score that you can't see. There do seem to be problems with how the server matches those accounts, but it's probably not the actual weighting, it looks like it's more in how it deals with clans such varied lists (possibly because it is placing too much importance on the totals matching and not enough on the individual bases and/or top bases matching). So the problem you're trying to solve here may not be the real problem.

Sorry, but all those ideas are based on 1 thing:
Have a mirror TH the same lvl as you.

Kinda silly ideas when Wars don't resolve around mindless mirror attacks.

What a wonderful idea OP. I hope SC reads this and puts in on the next update. We need more ideas like this.

Next thread suggest gem mines or heroes up for war while upgrading please.

I wish people would stop posting their silver bullets to engineering. If it were so easy sc would have done it by now. Just sit tight and let them do their thing.

It would simply usher a new engineering era: not allowing bases in war that are not 100% max.

The forums would be flooded with thousands of people crying about getting matched with clans that have max th9, th10, th11 for our poor mid th9, th10, th11 to hit.

Maxers already have the advantage of max defense in multiplayer.

Maybe you are on to something.... Anyone who are complaining or annoyed with Engineered clans and bases should stop doing war ever again.... Good idea, just what the game need, more inactive players :D

Now require a minimum % of upgrades of a th level before you can start th upgrade of the town hall. 90 to 95%.

And how to get SC to do this now instead of when they fell like it? All maxers should boycott the buying of gens till engineered bases are Delt with. Hit SC in their wallet.

Yeah of course, enforce a playing style (almost max).

What will be next ? Enforce buildings upgrade and troops upgrade order ?
And while you're at it, reduce the game to 2 push button: "Do attack", and "Do next upgrade".

Simply increase war weight of upgrading spell factory.long wars upon this topic finished in one sentence.

I know some people hate engineered bases but surely you have seen them for a long time.. I my self have a th10 without infernos, not super engineered but it's a strategy I like for now.

But for those who have gemed up a th8 into a th11 with out touching defences.. or defenceless bases etc.. they will be left so far behind after you change it! They won't be able to war at all, and will just quit the game. Will make a lot of people angry because you're upset u didn't engineer your own base

What if the MM calculated both the offensive capabilities and the defensive capabilities separately (heros would add to both) and than use the one that is highest for placing and stuff?
