another missmatch! this is HUGE!!!

Hello everyone, i have just registered due to the frustration of clan war matching.. this time it is with out a doubt the worst EVER! my clan name is KPE (lvl 9) and we are battling against clan named ALBANIA (level 11!!) 15 versus 15!

our clan has..
1 th 11
2 th 10
4 th 9
1 th 8.5
2 th 8
3 th 7
2 th 3

they have :confused::mad:

2 th 9
1 th 7
3 th 3

of course their defenses are weaker but they have grand warden and troops! i have screenshots if someone does not believe me. PLEASE SUPERCELL LISTEN TO YOUR PLAYERS AND FIX MATCHING BY ATTACKING THE SAME TOWN HALL AS YOURS! :thumbsup:

we made 2 war accounts to have equall opponents at wars.. but the matchmaking is killing us everytime..whether we use or not war accounts. 7 town halls 11 are wayyyyyyyy to much..come on!

Your 8.5 probably counted as a 9. By throwing the little th3s at the bottom to drop the weight of your clan you increased the chance of a crazy matchup. Sometimes it is in your favor, sometimes not. I'm not saying if you went th11 through th8 there would be no mismatch, there always will be, but a lineup like this increases the chance. That seems to be commonly noted by others, especially since October.

It sounds more like the opponent tried to skew matchmaking. I'm guessing, but it's likely most of those TH11s have no infernos or eagles; but have big TH11 troops and wardens. And, yes, it does sound like the enemy's attempt to skew the MM has worked perfectly for them.

the thing is that we do not want to use th3 or war accounts. we prefer active players but because of the missmatches that we had at the past we were forced to create 2 town hall 3... town hall 3 are useless! we want fair matching were we can show our skills..it is not about winning because you cheated, but because of the clan's skills!

You've got a very uncommon lineup* so the matchmaker will struggle to find you a good match, and often end up with a mismatch. There's a thread around here somewhere about how to get fairer matches....

*not really that uncommon, its similar to what a lot of roster engineers do so don't be surprised when you get matched with roster engineers.

Aspex nailed it. You dumped 2 th3 on the bottom, that's roster engineering and the mm correctly accounts for that now. Also, you have at least one .5 on top of that, so you checked off a couple of the various lopsided clan roster things that the mm looks for. Not surprising at all that you got a mismatch, though I'd wager that you have never complained about the easy wars that you've also gotten to benefit from with that roster engineering.

Oh, one more thing, all those 7's matched with an 11 are already a pretty high spread of bases. I recommend keeping to a minimum of high or max th8's if you're using an 11 in war.

Yeah, this is the issue. The OP would have never matched the heavy engineers if he didn't have the th3's, and the .5, and the overall large spread across the roster even without the th3's...but, as stated above, he's probably won a bunch of wars with that crazy roster, too.

I'm getting the feeling that it will be a 100% to 100% draw. If op's th11 is maxed, there is a chance they will win. In my experience, a match with that much of an offense advantage means that the enemy bases are probably equivalent to th9's or less on defense. OP's clan should have no problem getting a perfect war.

guys im gonna say it one more time. we do not want to use th3. we have never being better than our oponents because we dont use engineered bases as they do.. we try to max everything in our town halls and then move on to the next town hall. we are forced to use those 2 town hall 3 to have equall treatment. when we were not using any town hall 3s we were matched with way better engineered clans. this has to stop.

Easy buddy, i'm not accusing you of anything or looking down on your can in anyway. I have a lot of war experience (multiple clans that constantly war). I am also keeping a very accurate record of our matches. I have a hard time seeing the war match as you portray it to be. More info would be nice.

Be careful about posting screen shots. Base weights would be good starting point. To do that scout their gold storage (or town hall) and multiply that number by 1 for every gold storage plus town hall. For example, if a player has 4 gold storage buildings you would multiply by 5 (1 for each gold storage and 1 for the town hall). we need more information.

Follow the link in my signature, if you stick to those guidelines then you won't get any more slam dunk easy matchups but you also won't run into 7 th11's anymore.

The recent mm update heavily punishes th3's on bottom of your roster fyi, I'd get rid of those first thing. Start there, then drop down xbows and infernos on your .5's, and you'll be in a good spot. If your goal is fair wars every time of course, if all you want to do is get easy victories then keep doing what you're doing and just don't complain about running into heavy engineers some times.

Actually, we don't need more information. The th3's and the 8.5 are enough to get his clan matched up with heavy engineers.

True, but I have a feeling there is not much to the opposing clans defenses, especially on the account they both have at least 2 th3's.

You even write that their defense is weaker. If their offense is stronger, you should have a pretty even matchup :thumbsup:

sounds like this is about losing because others were better at manipulating the roster then you are

We faced something similar with no TH11 on our side.
Key is maximizing the stars on the top 3 bases.

I assume most of the TH11 bases other than the top may not even have all TH9 level defenses as what we saw in this current war that we have.

thank you superstorm103 and MossackFonseca for your replies. for those who are interest to see our opponents they can go to ALBANIA clan level 11 and see the details. unfortunatelly we have a draw and lost in percentage.. 43 stars .. 96.67% vs 97.13%

i will try not to use th3s but i dont think it will work better..thank you anyways, good luck to your wars..

So, your initial post, was this another mismatch, this is huge. And the result was a winnable war, lost on percent. Maybe finish the war, then complain.

I get that you don't want to use a TH3.

The MM doesn't care. What it does care about, is looking your top base. A TH11 with a defensive weight probably north of 100K. Then it looks at your lowest base... that TH3. With a defensive weight of maybe 1K. 100K at the top... 1K (or less) at the bottom. Congratulations. You just got checked off as a lopsided clan. You get put into the lopsided pool. Now the search begins for an opponent to pair you based on overall weights.

Note that this is just my take. SuperCell hasn't released anything to say that what I just wrote is in fact how it pairs you. But it's what my data compiling suggests. It's what the numbers say. And an educated guess would say this is how SC believes they can remove the lopsided, engineered clans from matching with shall we say... more balanced clans.

You've already stated that you see better results when you don't use the TH3s. You have to stop using them. Until SC tweaks it out (and I simply don't see that happening). You're not getting any equal treatment with them.
