Seriosly??? How is this even possible? How can the war system do such matches?!?!

Hey people, so i do understand the engeneered stuff, etc...my clan is kinda doing it too (yet not that heavy/extreme), but seriosly how can something like this happen, how can the system put a (top1) TH11 with 2 infernos and 3 X-bows and MINERS and th10 spell space against our (top1) TH8.25, with just a few TH8 defenses maxed, and mortars, wizard turrents, canons on th7 level....and th8 troops????

Our top 2 player is also a 8.25, and we have no X-bows, while even there top 2 has two x-bows! :mad:

Just look at the prints below guys, and please explain me how is this possible? I'm pretty ok with engeneering, but seriosly this is really not fair at all, because all villages below are kind of an even match, like we don't even have any advantage below!!!

I really wanna understand how can they match us against such a clan

Yes, we need more. All we know so far is their top player has little baby heroes with infernos. What does your top player have? If your th9 has strong heroes I would rather have that th9 than their rushed th11. We also would need to see the rest of the match and by "see" I don't mean the hall levels, which tells us almost nothing. What troops do both sides have? Spells? Heroes? Defense? The hall levels mean almost nothing.

What are Level of Heroes on your Top?

If your clan is engineering too, basically your only complaint is that someone has managed to outsmart you. Stings...

Can't tell anything from the pictures. We need to see each base in detail and also each players troop levels.

And we need a magic 8 ball to determine how good or bad every player in both clans are at playing the game (attacking).

you are not showing your offense but good TH9 research should have no problem with that TH11, it is garbage except for the core. Funnel lvl 4 valk in there, rage, heal, three star. I don't see your match as a bad one. Would love to get the war loot from such a base as a TH9.

You may surprise yourself, I think you can get a perfect 100% against them. Good luck.

In my clan 4 days ago war is quite different.
My clan (Handful of Dust) is level 11 and our war opponent is of level 1 !!! But they give us a tough competition in wars!.

I added a print of our top 1 player, his heroes are baby too!!!!! :(

Even though my clan is new i did my first war with WIDE TOWNHALL SPREAD

Half upper was slightly mismatched (top 2) while our half lower was better than their

I was top with level 2 xbows and somewhat ok heroes and i was matched against low end th10 with 1 inferno

Our 2nd was mid th7 which was matched against low end or new th8 with some upgrades

I think engineered bases have ruined coc

How do you think clan levels impact the wars by 85%? I don't understand.

I saw a video in YouTube saying matchmaking is working different. I think it's either a bug, or one more step towards making lopsided bases less worth to have.

Yes, read the many threads in the war forum. Matchmaking has definitely hurt engineering since October (but has not taken away the advantage completely). .5s are finding a big difference since October.

Just quickly but that TH11 is going to do next to no damage on your top th. They have shocking lvl offence, valks golem and wizards will wreck that base. You have to learn different army offence at some point. Great time to try.

Will look at his base again soon but you have the stronger attacks far as I can see. Also it's hard to fully judge without seeing the capabilities of the whole roster.

Inferno towers always seem daunting at first but at low level they are rubbish.

I wouldn't use lack of experience or skill with certain attacks in a complaint about an unfair war match. Lack of experience or skill with an attack should count against a clan. As for the entire war match, this enemy seems rushed in a bad way. I don't think they are very strong. I think you have a good chance to win if you are well organized and skillful attackers.

Seems like in your lineup you're not benefiting from doing the .5 route. This is the case in some clans right now. Some are seeing no difference in their .5 bases, some are saying they've been nerfed. IMO, it's all about your lineup. In your case, it's probably best to drop the xbows unless you're willing to leave your clan.

Good luck OP, it'll be a hard war but a fulfilling one if you win so give it the best shot you can!

Clan level makes a difference if you have town hall 9 and below. That level 10 clan can donate troops 2 levels up for the castles on offence and defence. After town hall 9 it's not really a factor.

Sort of, but even if the clan has all th9 in war, they can have one th10 not in war donating max troops. The clan match maker doesn't account for people not in war or clan level. I also see people on global getting max troops for war all the time.

It all comes down to if you can attack or not. It will make a difference but like you said they don't account for high level bases not in war.

Im not complaining about the engeneering, maybe if you read the thread properly you would understand my point here!

Infernos and xbows are suposed to have a lot of weight, so how can this happen?

Maybe they aren't engineered, maybe theyre just awful. And even if they are engineering, you said that you do too. Kettles should not complain about how black pots are.

I personally think you're complaining about being out engineered. The bad matches happen due to engineering, which you're partaking in. The problem here is you've been out engineered due to engineering yourselves.

Edit: I also want to touch on this.
The xbows and infernos do carry a lot of weight. When your troops, spells and point defense is a low as that 11 it lowers their overall weight meaning those fat xbows and infernos weigh less overall.

We got matched against so many engeneered clans, im not complaining at all because of that, since today almost any clan is doing it...i only created the thread to show the community the "Match up", what i find not fair is the match up here, ofc we should get matched with engeneered clans, but not such radical opponents.

The 11 has scrub point defense. Just focus on getting into the core and taking out the infernos. Level 1 xbows aren't doing to do that much damage. You should net a good 2 star with a high percentage. I doubt their 11 is going to three star either of your top two with the troops he has.

The th11 has awful troops and terrible defenses. I don't even think hes engineered, i just think he spent his birthday money on clash of clans.

Engineering is fine. Engineering and complaining about being out-engineered when the other clan isn't engineering is unforgivable. Go win your war by 10 stars then congratulate each other on your mad skillz.

Miners aren't as OP anymore. I doubt level 1 miners and level 2 healspell will allow him to 3 star your top two. His defense is at a Th7/8 level. If you know how to do ground attacks, level 2 valks (the max you can get at Th8) into the core will quickly take out all his heavy defenses in the middle. His base is really poorly designed, if he was really trying to engineer he would have come up with a better base.

There's also the [perma 9.5 engineered guy with 4 th3s at the bottom of the roster] "We just lot to a clan that had defenseless accounts! This must be stopped!"

Whatever this is it's not "engineered " . in the offence heavy world they are bringing a th11 with no golems at all and a pile of ♥♥♥♥ otherwise and heros at 6 and 5 ?.. this is pathetically rushed .

in our clan ( topped by two 9.5s) we routinely give our th8 "scouting duties " on some of the rushed th10 we face . They are amazed at how well they can do once they get over " OMG AN INFERO !!!!!" Idea . Xbows ?? They are so used to smacking up at th9 that those are old hat ..

those threads are CRAZY .. the very very occasional time I felt we were "mismatched " there was no amount of "amazing attacks" that could have saved us . THE Worst ? Our clan with nothing above th9 faced a clan with two th11 defenceless with some max offense and wardens and three 9.5 that had better than max th9 defences . In a 15v15 war it can be tough if the opponent has ten attacks with offense better than anything you have AND Three bases with more defenses than anything you have lol. We were rostering like 7 th9 so their perfect score was a foregone conclusion unless they were complete idiots . THankfully those extremes in mm seem to be gone .

People who engineer (not including normal .5 progression), whether roster, base or any combination thereof, do not get to complain about any aspect of matching since they are simply trying to ensure that they have an advantage. Getting out engineered is part of the game for you...

Our last 7 Wars we have been heavily outmuched and none more so than the latest one. Our No.1 is a 1 Day Old 9.5 with no new defences,there No.1 is a TH10 with all new Defences all be it low level. Our No.2 is a highish 9 matched against a very strong TH10 with all defences bar a Xbow. All other spots are equal. How on earth is this a equal matchup, mm has never been so bad imho it's making me wonder if it's worth bothering.����

So, the lesson from that match is that making the 9.5 hurt the clan and it would be better if it instead didn't try to engineer? Even before the October update that hurt .5s, it was never a good plan to have a .5 as your top base.

1 TH10 Camp and yes SF but still shouldn't draw 2 TH10s. I would understand 1 but not 2

If it has th10 offense, which I assume it does or you wouldn't call it a 9.5, then October changed match making to count more offense in the equation. More and more people with .5s are saying they seem to be matching with full halls of that level.

I think .5s are still a good upgrade path, but I've never thought a .5 at the top is good because it too often results in the other clan having their top have the full hall, not the .5, that corresponds to your .5. "Near" the top is much different, because that suggests you have a full account at the top, which can handle the full account the enemy has.

We are still fighting, they are winning, but we have a lot of atack still to do, yet that number 1 is like almost impossible to 3 star with TH8 troops now :(

How can our top 1 player do it?
Queen is only lvl 4 and healers only lvl 2, so queen walk is gona be hard. :(
Dragons get rekt with that infernos.

That should go for any clan. People with better strategies are a part of the game. Fyi im not saying engirning is a better strategy just that there are many different strategies and clan war tells you which strategy is better.

If you can't at least high two star that th11, you don't deserve to win. many, many ways to do it. Stop whining and come up with a strategy to get into the core quickly. If a clan wars with a base like that at the top, they probably aren't going to be very good attackers, so if you are really that scared of infernos and eagles, then just skip it and attack the rest.

His number 1 player has th8 troops, level 10king and level4 queen. Reading and paying attention goes a long way in life. SMH

So there is no way he can 2-3 star it especially if the infernoes are set to multi and he has an Eagle Artillery.

I suggest you 3 star everyone else and pray he sucks at attacking. I'm not even sure they are engineers. It looks like a random rusher who had a good match up. An engineer would not have that junk offense and no bowlers.

We are still fighting, they are winning, but we have a lot of atack still to do, yet that number 1 is like almost impossible to 3 star with TH8 troops now :(

How can our top 1 player do it?
Queen is only lvl 4 and healers only lvl 2, so queen walk is gona be hard. :(
Dragons get rekt with that infernos.

We don't know what to do :(

I wouldn't give up on the queen walk, the point defense is really low so you should be able to net a decent % from the walk. Get as much as you can from it. If you lose just remember, their 1 felt intimidated enough to drop the eagle. That alone is a win imo.

I'm pretty sure 1 shot from the eagle against his th8 troops is going to end his raid. Before they dropped the eagle 2 stars should've been easy. Now that the eagle is in play my best advise is get 50% and hope their 1 has an awful attack.

The TH11 didn't attacked yet, we are hoping he sucks hehe :')

Im gona post his attacks later, and our attack on the TH11.We are thinking on Queen walk, to funil everything outside, then use valk or hogs with freeze rage to get the core, but i don't know.

Lev1 eagle- 250 damage. Lev 1 valk- 750 hit points. They aren't gonna last long, but they still have a good shot to get the job done.

That's easy to say if you're a TH10 or 11 attacker. For someone who is basically TH8 it's a seriously out of context problem, and they may struggle adapting to the different rhythm of the attack no matter how awful the base is.

Forget hogs, and forget level 1 freeze. Rage is your friend for the core of the base. And valks.

First key strategy question is: how many stars do you need? It's going to help with such an unknown attack to leave it until near the end. And if you know exactly what's needed that makes the planning much easier. And it might be 0* - as others have commented any clan with that as their #1 is all kinds of hopeless.
For 1* just nibble away at the edges for 50%. This could be drags. But see below about the eagle. Once you've deployed enough to trigger it, it's hard to pick off odd buildings.
For 2* you'll need to rush the core. If you're not used to attacking these bases, try thinking of it as a slow and then fast attack. You can work quite slowly making a funnel, clearing buildings and stuff. But once you trigger the eagle and/or get into inferno range you need to go through them as fast as possible. So... more time than usual on preparation and funneling; but the main attack needs to be faster and more focused than you are used to. You'll also need to work out a good plan to funnel, or your troops will circle with the ring walls.

The eagle triggers after 180 spaces of troops are deployed, with heroes counting 25 and spells 10 or 5 (dark). So you can plan to funnel or QW or lure and kill CC or whatever within that budget. If you are going to use arch or mins to pick off a few free buildings for percentage, then again it's better to do that before triggering the eagle.

Matching full TH10s is exactly why I like 9.5s at the top. It certainly concentrates the mind on tripling inferno bases! And also tends to provide "full" TH10s that aren't ridiculously strong. But advantage - probably not. Which is why comments that a clan with 9.5s shouldn't complain if some other clan has engineered "better" (when they have numerous TH11 attacks to use) are kind of irritating. And why most 9.5s on the forum dropped infernos sharpish after the October update - because they see that as the more advantageous upgrade now.

Thank you so much man, we didn't knew about that 180 trigger on the eagle.

How can we funil the second inner buildings on the 2nd layer ring, in order for the valks to not go around?

If anyone not sure what Roster Enginerrering is This clan seams to have one guy with 19 accounts, all pretty much defences with higher lv offensive all to get a th10 max into a th9 war. #2G8G2QGV

Hey guys, just wanna let you know that we are going to win the war haha!!! :')

The TH11 did pretty much bad atacks, he managed to do a fail atack on our top 1 (0 stars - 39%) haha, and a 2 star atack on our top2.

Now they have no more players to cover, and we are already winning, despite not having attacked their Top 1 yet! :)

Glad to know the OP won. However it is astonishing people think that clan was engineered. If the forums can't even distinguish between an engineered base and a clan of rushed noobs they should not be complaining about the matchmaker or proposing solutions.

an 8 page thread about nothing. Anyone care to think that SC might know what they are doing after all? In prep day it might look bad but it is never as bad as people think. I do wonder if the other clan thought it would be an easy win?

Their one is rushed they aint gonna do that good on your top 1 he have low heroes no eagle no warden inferno and xbow low level aint gonna make a huge difference try your best and u will win i wish u good luck in war

I don't think it's so much about people not realizing the clan isn't engineered. It's more about the match maker not being able to tell the difference between an engineered clan or a preemie clan. Even though both OP and the enemy are roster engineering by adding those trash th3 accounts.

I don't think any roster engineered clan would have a th11 like that...

Usually it is dubious, but for this particular clan, i would bet my money that those th3s are minis or family and are actually progressing and developing.

How long does it take to level a townhall past 3? If the account is more than a week or two old, you know what it's being used for. It's the new meta, roster engineering... both OP and their enemy attempted it.

If you're using terms like "8.25" then it sounds like you're engineering. When you engineer, you're going to get some easy wins and some stupid matchups like your current one.

FYI, my clan upgraded almost every single .5 after the October patch. Once we finished up, we got 17 wars in a row that ranged from "very fair" to "complete mirror opponent at every th". In every single war we knew in the first 5 minutes that it would come down to our attacking skill and base designs vs same for opponents. However, we had a 9.5 who was in a sister clan for a couple of months who came back the other day. He's 71k war weight with 30/30 heroes and max troops. Every single other base in our war rosters has remained the same, but just adding that one person has put us into 3 "slightly unfair" to "high mismatch" wars in a row, all 3 were more uneven than any of the previous 14.

To rephrase what the above poster said, when you engineer then you're going to match with other engineers.
