Why can't anyone just deal with the fact some clans are better than you? I don't have defenceless bases but we have faced some and beat them. It still all comes down to attacking the other base and who is better. Learn to adapt not how write it's unfair...everyone gets a medal in the end

YES! Going against a engeneered clan makes for a hard war and its understanble people like to win but with enough with the complaining. It's not cheating, at least not for the time being so there's no point in complaining a lot, SC already knows about them
I would challenge you to stop by our clan and look at the war 2 wars ago and tell me that they are the better clan. They failed with TH 11 dips (very respectable heros) on a couple TH 10's and 9's, yes 9's, but it didn't matter because they had 6 more TH 11 attacks with GWs than we did in a 20v20 war. Although we managed to tie, we lost on percentage. If you want to say they were better at engineering than we were, fine, being we don't engineer, but to say they are better attackers than us is an absolute joke. Although they did have one very solid TH 11 attacker, I will give credit where it's due. Let me know if are interested.Quote:

BTW: while scanning your clan, I see lots of bases with dragons army all prepared for war. You are not going to win a lot of wars against skilled opponents that way.

Better at engineering, yes. Similarly, in the NBA, NFL, etc. the teams that put together the best roster also have an advantage. However, we couldn't discuss that without discussing the fact that at the same time the league (SC in our case) puts in rules to try to limit that advantage to make the teams more even, resulting in the offense/defense playing a bigger role. That is why the team with the bad record picks early in the draft. That is why the NBA and NFL have salary caps. Like the NFL, perhaps SC wants the rosters to be as even as possible so that skill in offense and defense in the actual battle is as important as possible. I support engineers trying their hardest to take advantage of the matchmaking, just like pro sports teams doing their best to put together the best roster they can. I also support SC trying to minimize the importance of base or roster engineering to put more emphasis on attacking and defending skills, just like I'm glad the NFL lets the bad teams draft first, limits rosters to 52 players and puts a cap on the total salaries of all of the players.Quote:

Obviously you know nothing about our clan, we win plenty, and have never engineered. You would also see those TH 3s are brand new, and the defenseless TH 8 is as well. We're going to experiment with some MM and see what happens, because we're tired of seeing it on the other side and hearing well you just need to adjust, so we are, because this is what war is now, garbage ways of manipulating the MM. Those all dragons in army camps are on TH 8s. If you're so inclined, and are willing to do a FW with no engineered accounts, look me up, and we'll see if we can set something up. I'm sure it's going to be more competitive than you think if you're assuming we run mass dragons. Some of those .5s you mentioned are also new to their TH level, almost none war atm. That said, both basketball and clan wars are team effort, and with a good war plan/coach you can beat a team even if your players might not be as good on paper.
It isn't like paying top players less. Engineering is like intentionally making some players have weaker skill sets in order to face easier opponents. That doesn't happen, which is why the analogy fails. The teams in the NBA all try to draft or sign the best players they can. They don't intentionally make their players weak in certain areas with the hopes of facing weaker teams.Quote:

The problem is these matchups are being created in favor of high offense that is too much for the defense to actually handle. That's rewarding manipulation, not skilled attacking. And then everyone gets 2 attacks, so the sweep down is too great to overcome. Mix that with a couple fully max th11 up top, and it's every bit of unfair. Why is manipulation rewarded? Why should one clan have 4 attempts up top while they effortlessly clean below, and the other clan cant make one mistake on offense, and then have 1 crack at the tops?Quote:

The complaint is that the clan in post 7, which brings engineered bases to war with them, is bent because they got out engineered.

It was a massacre. When you combine that big spread + a decent winning streak like yours then I'd say that I'm not too surprised that you hit that kind of opponent.
I think 11-7 is a pretty wide TH spread, with regards to how the MM sees things. A TH7 might come in with a defensive weight of 32K. Your top TH11? Might be 109K. So that's a 77K defensive weight difference between your top and bottom base. Speculation, but that could be right there on the edge of what the MM deems a lopsided clan.Quote:

It's definitely outside of the recommended guidelines. Im trying to get the couple 7's in our clan to th8 as quick as possible. While you have that large of a spread, with one of your densest population points in the th7/8 range but with a few big boys on top, you're going to (sometimes) get weird matchups for sure. When I talk about a 3-3.5 th spread, I'm really saying "1 th11, 1 th8, and 18 th9/10"... ie, a big cluster of relatively-similar bases in the middle with just a couple outliers on either side.Quote:

Actually, now that I think about it, the one thing that you might consider is to focus on heroes and upgrades for a month or 2 on the th11 and leave him out of wars, or at least some wars. That one single th11 is a pretty big outlier, especially with only 1 strong th10 even to go with him... what is your war weight distribution, something like:
1. med th11 - 100k
2. solid th10 - 85k
3. new th10 - 75k
4. low th10 - 72k
5-16. th9's 56-69k
17-22. th8's 45-55k
23-25. th7's 35-40k
If you take out the #1, or even better #1 and #2, then all of a sudden you're practically at that 2:1 war weight ratio. There's nothing magical about that particular number, and you might still get some mismatches obviously, but look at how rapidly that war weight skyrockets on those top couple of bases.
As a comparison, in my clan it is not-uncommon for me to be at the bottom of our war roster with my 61k weight and 10/10 heroes, and we rarely go over 100k (only 2 of our 11's are even that high).
