Cleveland is in the east, and he left another team in the east to go there. It never happens in professional sports.
Players leave bad teams to go to good teams, and they change teams for money. Nobody has ever chosen a team based upon the level of competition they play.
The effect is inconsistent. Sometimes it will pair you with a clan that is no more difficult than any other, but sometimes it puts you up against extremely difficult competition, or even unwinnable matches in extreme cases.
No doubt, it's a LOT better today than it was 3 months ago.
I heard about the tough war you had the other day. Were you following all the recommendations to avoid engineers? No .5, no low th dumped on bottom, 30 minute search reset, tight base spread? What was your winning streak? I've recently found in Folk that even a single 9.5 is enough to skew us into engineered territory on war searches, we had 3 wars in a row that took 10 minutes or less, one took 2 minutes, but all 3 were pretty uneven.
Thats a swallow-able feature that everyone will see both ends of. Prep day is useless now. You cant scout. I know people switched their bases right before war started, but most did not. We do not look at each individual opponent and base what we put in our cc's off of that, somebody actually mentioned that on these forums one day, I thought it was a joke. People have preferations of what troops they want in their castle for their particular style base. I would rather have it this way if it ensured a fair war for both sides, 100 out of 100 times.
