Lol cmon, this is ridiculous in our current war, were probably going to win but honestly this sort of thing makes me cringe. People want to be able to three star I don't know why the game isn't completely "offensive" with many varieties of being able to attack.

I'm not complaining just pointing out for weaker, casual clans, this is a HUGE advantage and then if their top guys are studs the match is over before it starts, their top players will be maxed way ahead of your guys because of weight distribution.

The entire system should be overhauled, offense should be buffed, and I think make an absolute MINIMUM weight for every town hall should be added to keep wars fair. it should check troop levels and heroes to balance check and assign min/max weight if they meet certain threshold.

It's in the confines of the game and is legal I might add, and I'm not asking for changes I'm just simply providing feedback based on my experiences.

Also before when you reply, could you answer, am I doing this in order to gain an advantage in war?

1) cheat (definition) act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage, especially in a game or examination.

Even after supercell addressed they were looking into "lopsided bases" nothing has been done. What do you think? I should bring up the fact that we all liked "FairPlay" and get rid of the bunnies. This, to me, is completely like that. At least make it fair for casuals to war with everyone else. Put everyone on an even playing field so we can get back to a skill game 👍

If you're going to win, anything the enemy does do not matter.

This is a base building game. Building and upgrading is as much strategy as attacking and defending.

Would expect to hear no less from someone who has promoted strategic rushing and the benefits. However on a clan wide scale to a certain degree that strategy can create such a handicap we should ask ourselves if its really worth promoting.

There is nothing dishonest or unfair about it. Dishonest would be hacking and unfair would be if only a selected few could do it. Everyone can do it. There's no need to call legit players cheaters because you don't agree with how they choose to win.

Why are you saying that this is unfair? Or an uneven playing field? Just because your opponents distributed their weight differently to you does not automatically make the match a mismatch, unfair or an uneven playing field. That you are winning shows it was probably either a fair match or unfair in your favour. And yet you still complain why?

For you to say that SC have done nothing WRT lopsided bases is demonstrably false. Prior to October update where offence was not sufficiently taken into consideration the advantage would probably have been with the engineered clan. Now it is not. How can you still say "nothing has been done"?

It's not unfair. It's arguably not an advantage.

Although I do think roster engineering can be a problem and I do hope SC continues to improve the match making, I don't think OPs example where he acknowledges his clan is going to win is a very good one. If you are going to win, what is the mismatch?

Very true. Also, why are people still concerned over which bases number attacks which base. We attack based upon who has the best attack for a particular base. Strong air attackers choose different bases, than those who prefer ground etc. Whenever we run into the attack mirror clans we know we are going to win.

I think they should abolish TH 1-5. Start out at th6 with all level 1 troops up to wizards and then people need to upgrade army camps, barracks, troops and spells etc. Then make the weighting a little heavier and start there. Maybe that would help with roster engineering. People start learning the premise of war attacks in th6 anyway when they unlock the heal spell and healers. This would eliminate th3 rostering. It would also get newer players up n running faster before they lose interest, which does happen.

Just so we're clear. They're horrible attackers. It's not because of the matchup that we're going to win. And I'm not here to complain about a war match. I'm here to discuss how players feel. So please don't stuff words in my mouth

Their #2 89% our number 2, he only had a tesla left. Easily could be tied right now. We're going to win by 1.

They have 3 max TH11s, and an extra TH10. They traded off with 3 defenseless accounts, that also are able to attack halfway up the board

So not only do they have harder defenses, higher offense, they also have the advantage on the bottom of the board. Do I really need to explain how this is unfair for any unseasoned clan? Engineered clans are just using bully attacks to clear bases

My clan has been together for four years. We're going to stomp out or give anyone a good run. But casual clans can't keep up. And I'll always try to help the little guy. This thread poses little to no gain for my clan. Without casuals the game with die, IMO, and if they get sick of wars it's going to just be "who has the better engineered clan"

Remember position on map is not a reflection of total base weight. It is a refection of defensive weight only. They actually weigh quite a bit more and may have a total war weight more than the bases that they have hit. We just don't know how SC calculates total war weight. So this is more an issue with the appearance of the war roster.

Question: would you be happier if the position on the map was a refection a base's total war weight rather than just the defensive weight? If those enemy bases were really 11 and 12 to reflect their total war weight, would it make a difference?

I can't comment on something I have no knowledge on. I'm not sure how much offense is weighted but it surely can't be that much since it was originally weighted as 50/50 offense//defense if you can remember... We don't know how it's weighted. So based on that and not knowing how big of an advantage you're getting... I can't comment on that

According to clashofstats.com that tracks 2.97 million clans:

• 55 clans have achieved 100+ win streaks in the last 2+ years. https://www.clashofstats.com/war-ran...treak/global/1

So assuming all clans that have 100+ win streaks are heavily engineered and nigh on unbeatable, you are complaining about the 0.0199% of the clans have achieved 100+ win streaks and after the recent updates that number has decreased to 0.00797%.

Take those stats as you will, to me that suggests the unfair advantage people speak of was rare to begin with and the advantage has been diminished greatly.

Not sure since it doesn't allow you to search by those parameters. But if you search for a clan with 100 wins, they rank in at around 1.35 million in terms of total wars won to date:

Note: that doesn't even include losses.

So if you use 1.35 million clans as the base clans represented, that is still 0.04% of the clans having achieved 100+ win streak and 0.016% that have continued their streak after the recent updates.

I can add: when the win streak information was introduced in March 2016, there were about 370 clans with an all green log ie 50 wins streak. For forward now: except for ONE clan, every one of those 370 clans LOST their win streak since (some clans retired).

I frankly do not care about what number attacks who. I also do not care if someone engineers or not, we run into them so rarely and when we do, we hold our own and beat them just as much as we lost

My clan just ran into a pretty severe 10v10 mismatch, opponent had an extra th11 and 3 extra th10's, but we won on % b/c they couldn't clear one of our 9's with several of their 10's. Perhaps the mm algorithm knew something we didn't...

They need th1-5 to get new players hooked though, then they can slow-walk them into the huge upgrade times (and gem opportunities ofc) at higher th levels.

Nothing wrong with talking about how engineering is frustrating, I daresay that the majority of people I know in forums and the game agree with your sentiment. But the way you came across in the OP was pretty salty I think, and sort of set the tone for what followed.

Thank you for the defination of cheat. This it what it tells me. Engineering isnt cheating because while an advantage might exist, I personally say it's small if it does, it isn't dishonest or unfair.
Most anti engineers would read it as cheating is to gain any advantage.
