Having vault problems!

So a little while ago, after I finished maxing splash and getting all lvl 7 walls I decided to try a vault base. Here's my base:

For the first few weeks it went great! The entire time I only had a few get over 50% and those that did used mostly dragons. However, these past few days I've had some pretty successful attacks against my base:

Both attacks went in from the top right side and after giants had cleared a little bit out they proceeded to spam archers and gobs until they got everything they wanted.

What I'm trying to figure out is why has this been happening? I hope it's not my base because I like it a lot right now. I've had similar troop compositions attack me before and lose dramatically. I also thought maybe it's my cup range. But I've always stuck between 1200-1500 cups. Both these happened at around 1400 so maybe that's it? Mostly I feel like it's the fact that a good attacker at TH9 or 10 can take just about whatever they want from a TH8 regardless of base design. Because I can do that with a TH7. What do you guys think? Are there any changes I can make to prevent this from happening again?

Don't use a vault as TH8.

A large core on TH8 is quite vulnerable. I'd recommend no more than 3x3 buildings in the core at that stage. Small core or cloistererd medium size core, cloistered defence ring and running circle is a good combo from my experience.

Six wall breakers, and your vault is history, with a very simple army. I'd raid your base without a second thought, as my normal army of level 5 giants, wb, archers and gobs should do the job nicely - once I got to the centre, I'd use a rage to speed up the goblins, if really necessary, but hopefully the wiz towers etc would be ditracted enough and I'd have lots of gold and DE in no time. In fact, I'm sure a TH9 could get there without the WB's and just barbarians to chop the walls. Spread out your goodies, so your eggs are in multiple baskets.
