Hey guys, so today I had a crazy idea, Im sure a lot of you guys know about downtoforum, the forum clan we make once in awhile for forumites to party hard together? I've been thinking, what if we made 1-2 clans ONLY for forum members and its purpose is to be a trophy push clan.

This way us forumers can party together, and have fun pushing together.


Clan Name?
Forum Elite.


When is it?
September 16th.

How long will it last?
1 Week.


How many clans?
1-2 clans (I doubt we would need more than that) but more clans will be added depending on how many people are interested.


Who can join?
FORUM MEMBERS ONLY (amount of forum activity to be determined)


Who will be the elder?
POPULAR AND WELL LIKED forumers with over 1000 posts.


Who will be Leader?
To be determined, a popular forumer obviously.


Can I leave and Come back?
Yes you can leave, but you must understand your spot can and will be filled if there is a new applicant.


What are the requirements?
Been a forum member for 3 months minimum.

Trophy Minimum: 2000 by the end of the day, will increase steadily, minimum may be all the way at 2500 on the last day.


Is there a website for the clan?
YES! Trelleborg was awesome enough to make use our own website

Im sure we could all fit in them, I doubt everyone on the forums will want to push, so we would probably only need 1-2 clans, and we can always make a third clan.


As for leaders, Im not sure, I would assume it would be respected forum members. It would definitely take a lot of behind the scenes work, but would be worth it if we could get it set up.

Good idea, but isnt this kind of what the sky family is?

A few suggestions:

1. Only 1 clan, unless demand to join remains high after the clan fills.

2. Name change. DownToForum... not a great name, for multiple reasons. Maybe something that incorporates forum and cup hunting. I dunno, I'm not really the creative type.

3. Set a date ASAP. If it will be in 2 weeks or 6 weeks, say so now. The more time people have to prepare, the more who will join.

4. Don't make it align with the end lf the league season. For forumers in cup clans or those who may be pushing otherwise, it would deter them from joining. Make it so that it ends with 1 weeks left in the league season.

5. Get some publicity running soon. If someone can/will make an awesome sigpic, those interested could put it (and the dates) in their signatures to help spread the word. Also keep a detailed thread bumped fairly often, possibly including a sign up sheet/member list.

6. Announce important requirements/policies in advance. Will it be all elder, no elder, or something inbetween? Who is leading the clan (or clans)? Will there be a trophy minimum, and if so, what is it? Is there a minimum post count or forum activity requirement? Will members be able to come and go throughout the week, or will they be required to stay the whole week or risk losing their spot?

7. I better get a spot!

Yeah Im not that creative either, I was planning on changing the name soon, just not sure what yet.

Does 4 weeks sound good? Or Maybe sooner?

Good ideas, It can last for 7 days starting at the beginning of a league.

Ill add to the OP asking for someone who is decent at photoshop, or maybe look around and ask one of the "sig pic shops"

Thats what I was going to use this thread as, to get peoples idea to see what it should be. I do think there should be some sort of forum activity required, and the clan(s) will be all elder. As for who the leader(s) I was thinking of you tbh, and if there is enough people for a second clan, We can see who is interested, and decide from there. I think you should be allowed to leave but you must understand, your spot can and will be filled if there is a new applicant, so leave at your own risk.

I don't think it should be all elder, personally. The higher posting, longer time members should be the only elders imo, for fear that someone we don't know well joins, gets elder, and causes issues.

Well if we are all elder and the clan would fill pretty fast what could they do? Not trying to be mean but genuinely curious

Also, save me a spot if this happens please. :)

Ranger, they could swear up a storm, reject applicants we want, all sorts of stuff. And if the leader isn't on we can't do anything about it.

Count me in if there is spot. I will be there as long as my alliance doesn't require me and see how long I can stand archer donations :/

Not to be biased to anyone but I say we should set a limit and some base requirements. If we have a dozen of TH7 forumers join, the push won't be as successful.

Sounds like this may get me out of the ever present farming monotony, count me in:)

I would set both post and join date requirements, Mufasa. Say, March or prior and 750+ posts = elder. We don't have to use those, just thinking aloud here.
As Regalia said, we also would need joining requirements. I would go with TH8 and level 75+. Th8 needs 1800 before we start, TH9/10 needs 2k.

1. What is your personal trophy best? (If unsure, just give a ballpark figure)
2. What is your level and TH level?
3. Which dates would you prefer? Keep in mind that the clan should be organised on the first week of the league season.
4. Do you have a preference on the leader of the clan? Would you be offended if some people are elders and you weren't? Do you prefer all elder, selective elder, or no elders.

2. 109, TH 10
3. Either 2, 4, or 6 weeks from now.

Also, must have a notable forum presence (up to debate, I just don't want people with 10 posts comprising half the clan).

Another thing: 50 pushers won't work. We'll also need donation machines to keep us stocked with tier 3s. I would say 45/5 or 45/10.

For a trophy push TH8s can hinder quite a lot, absolute max would be about 2400. If we want to show the full capability of forum members and stand a chance in denting the top 100 or top 50 we would need all TH9+

Perhaps the second clan could be for TH8s and lower TH9s.

3. Not at the first of the month(s).

5. Basically maxed th8+, Mostly maxed out troops. ( For town hall )

I think we should adopt an all donation stance - leaving 5 members as standby donators is giving up a good 200 points at least in terms of clan rankings. In Exodias we managed top 60 with everyone pushing and filling CCs with archers, pekkas and golems. Having golems in the CC is so much more effective than archers for gowipe since you can use the extra archers in army camps on specific buildings. Everyone should be able to donate golems and pekkas regularly imo.

how long will the push last? I don't want too long coz I gotta keep up with DE farming for my heroes, they are getting too demanding these days :(

I would like to join but i don't meet the 250 post requirement, i guess lurking on the forums has come back to haunt me. btw i'm a near maxed out th 9.

I think Midnight Sky proved how many forum members can push - as a non permanent clan people wouldn't feel bad about leaving their clan for a short period. Perhaps if the number of participants is low we could lower the reqs but in that scenario there would be little point in pushing for top 200 never mind top 50.

2. 95, TH9, 95% skulls.

I think we should (if some kind souls are willing to do this) have 5 or so pushers who aren't actually in the clan, until the last day. Donating machines are a big help, but I agree that we don't reallt want to sacrifice the points either.

I think one week is the perfect length, but this should also be something up for debate. Also, if you can do in say 4 days what others can do in a week, more power to ya.

Seeing how many lurkers are coming out of hiding maybe change the normal member requirement to be join date not post count? And post count requirement only for elders?



Also, if a new applicant surpasses the trophies of the last ranked member, will that member be replaced by the new applicant?

I don't think post count should be the only requirement for elders. There needs to be elders awarded on a case by case basis if selective elders is the way we all decide to go. It's about the people and their personalities when it comes to giving elder, not just forum activity.

This implies that the clan is full. If the clan is full, a second clan should be opened. And yes, in that scenario, the higher trophy players would be in the main clan.

This isn't to say that isn't primarily a social gathering (it is!), but at the end of the day, trophy hunting is a goal too. Perhaps the filtering wouldn't take place immediately, but certainly on the last day the biggest guns need to be in the main coan.

As far as a timeframe, more than six days from now, because then my spell factory will be finished, hence goldstar.

I hate being elder! Makes me limit my language and be all respectful/helpful in clan ;). Happy (and prefer) to be a lowly member.

Yeah that is what I was thinking. The second clan (if the first fills up) can be kind of like a feeder? Once you surpass the trophies of lowest ranked member you can replace him, then the replaced member can go to the second clan and work on getting enough trophies to come back.

1) Approximately 1600 trophies but I've never pushed just farmed up to there.
2) Lvl79 TH8
3) In two weeks I will be an essentially maxed out TH8 except for DE troops, mines, collectors and barb king. So any time after that.

5) At least maxed TH8 and a required trophy amount, not sure what it should be.

Minimum to join could be 2300, minimum at the end could be 2500 - not difficult for a TH9. For top 50 we would need a couple of champions, masters I and masters II.

The minimum should rise as needed. 2000 seems like a number for the first day or two. After that, the min should rise noticably, possible even up to 2500 or 2600.

The highest ive gone is 2400, but i only pushed for 3-4 days total, so with 7 days I could probably make 2500, maybe, lol. I may be too noobish for my own idea ♥♥♥♥

I'm not 100% sure about joining because I'm clan leader so I would have to check my clan is ok with it and select a substitute leader (and I'm also not sure if you would let me in anyway!). But here are my details just in case:

1. 2500 last push but I was on vacation so not really pushing.
2. 109, TH 9 (maxed everything and 1/3 L9 walls - rest L8. Golems soon to be maxed too)
