They have said on more than one occasion that they are working on the matchmaking system to reduce the advantage of lopsided bases. How many times do they have to say it?

You're right, but their response still does beg the question of when the next changes will happen, how much of an effect it will have, and so on. Given that an update dropped this week, I think it's natural for us to want to understand what is happening with this topic, since it's probably the most contentious topic in game.
I get they are working on it. I appreciate their efforts. I acknowledge MM has gotten much better. But I still can't help but want a more substantive answer whenever the sting of a mismatch is fresh.
It's a waste of 48 hours. It's not fun. And it's been a problem long in the making, so it's natural for people to get frustrated with waiting.
I think vague is all you are going to get on this from SC moving forward. Take a page out of the politicians handbook. For starters, any specific answer holds them accountable to that response. Removes wiggle room, or subsequent stealth tweaks...changes to the MM that perhaps they don't want immediately known. Testing.
Second, details help engineers out...adjust to a known change rather than speculation and guessing. Makes it easier to adapt and exploit.
They don't give a rip. That's the unfortunate answer. It's obvious at this point.
I really haven't had an issue with the war matchmaker for a long time now. I think they've done a good job with it lately.
Be careful what you wish for. But what I really think some are wanting is SC to say maxing is the only way to go. SC has said it wants balance. A person that has one max army of a th and low everything else and 1 or 2 defenses max and low everything else is prob closer to balance in terms of offense and defense weight than most think. Some call that engineering and demand SC change it. What many who say they want maxing to be the only way to go is how do you get rid of the unfair advantage permamax villages will have.
