moral of the story: engineered clans are not unwinnable and you shouldnt look at the color of a th to determine fariness

lol I'm sorry but geez, seems everybody is melting because they think that their FP sets the standard.
If you honestly think that forcing people to play one way will fix the game, then you finally been proven wrong by SC themselves.
Time to adapt and just play or quit.
Am I the only one that like SC's response in the Q&A?
- It's too hard to put the game on rails for everyone
- They've acknowledged that lopsided bases have given an unfair advantage
- They're gonna jam lopsided bases in matchmaking, and continue to make it harder for them
What else were we looking for?
There's been so much inference from people that their response meant they're doing nothing, and I just don't know how this is the conclusion that is being jumped to.
Matchmaking has already drastically improved for us. If it improves more - great. If it stays the same, we're still winning 85%-90% of the time even against engineered clans. We get the odd ridiculous match-up, but even then sometimes their skills are so bad we still win. We're not all going to win every war. I've been an advocate of taking away the engineered advantage for a long time. I've seen positive steps taken by SC and a promise for more to come.
Good enough for me.
We've got a couple defenseless TH8 at the bottom for us and the clans we are getting matched with almost always have the exact same bases as us at the bottom. Sometimes we take a 9.5 to war with us, and we almost always pull an extra TH10 with infernos when we do. These are not insurmountable challenges. It's actually astounding how closely matched our wars have been over the last 15-20 wars, with only the odd exception.
Couple accounts in a couple of different clans, been in wars ranging as small as ten vs ten up to the 50 vs 50 size, with th levels 8-10 and 7 to 11. Still seeing the occasional engineered base and or clan roster as both clans war back to back. Whether facing a 'usual' clan or one more strategically engineered or built the matches are not unwinnable 90plus percent of the time now which indicates that the tweaks to matchmaking seem to be having an effect on the initial offensive advantage the engineers gained prior to the last few updates. My wish still is that SC provide both in and out of game information on both offensive/defensive upgrades and its effect on your accounts war weight, war is one of three generally agreed upon ways the other being farm and push and the lack of clearcut information, guides, tutorials about war weight compared to the other 2 is imo the real issue....
To you guys doing engineering. Why do engineerd bases what is the purpose ?
Third war in a row against engineered bases...i quit war this is just stupid SC, i hope you guys do tournaments against engineered bases so you can see how stupid this really is.
To win. Part of human nature to be competitive and find ways to gain an advantage.
I can understand the frustration, but recommend you don't quit. Learn from it. Read the numerous threads about it in the forum to get smarter on what is happening and adjust. Or try to manage your own expectations and what you're trying to get out of the game. Good luck.
You know what I don't get though? Everyone was up in arms when a video of a player doing a faceroll 3 star came out, and yet, thats all engineering really does is help make sure thats the type of game experience you get. If I had my offence but was matched with a th9, I quit because the attacks were so boring. Who needs heros or spells? Even th10's would get steam rolled easily.
I know they do it to win, but why remove any challenge from the game. I see a guy with 1000 war stars but an engineered base I'm not going to say he "earned" those stars. I guess I just don't get the total obsession about winning without actually earning it. Its an odd concept to me.
