SC - Please Break Your Silence On Engineered Bases

when my clan first encounter engineering clan it was a heartbreaking lost , and comes another engineering clan again a heartbreak . Supercell said they dont violate any laws or policy of the game , they could not even do any changes with matchmaking . So why is your clan still in crying for sympathy ? Engineering clan also has a bright side , it makes the clan balance . attacks may comes from any angles so it makes the war more exciting . primarily top can only attacks the opponent's top but now it may come from the middle or bottom. dont you people see it ? i have been playing the game 3 yrs already , the thread of the clanwar goes to the engineering area. So if supercell cant do anything about it , ask your leader to make a transition to engineering clan . And may the best engineering clan wins !!!!!!!

Don't be ridiculous by yourself. :p In respect to communication SC throws a bone from time to time to their customers. Obviously not good enough communication otherwise these types of threads wouldn't exist.
The fact that we are not used to any community mamagment from SC, doesn't mean, that this is how it should be.
This topic and many others would really deserve a clear communication from SC. If you are content with the actual community management from SC...fell free to do so. Many others aren't ....

I think the idea of having engineered clans matched up with engineered clans is definitely the way to go. It seems that's what they are trying to do, but clans with .5's also seem to be getting mixed up in there and possibly just newly minted townhall upgrades. I'm sure they will continue working on it.

This seems like the most appropriate way to deal with it so everyone can continue playing and accounts one way or another don't become worthless. However, I suspect that the only folks who are good with this solution are non-engineers. Reason? The engineers don't want to face other engineers. They want to face normal clans with normal upgrades because that's where they get their advantage.

Engineered bases are not considered cheating by supercell[period]. Having engineered bases does not give a clan an unfair advantage[period]. Any advantage a clan might get from using engineered bases is fair and legal, everyone has the same ability to use them if they choose. The game is always evolving, and SC is always tweaking the game, nerfing and buffing troops.and one day they may do the same for engineered bases (balancing the game as they like to call it), but until they do, there is nothing wrong with using them. When bowlers and miners were OP, clans used them and had advantage over clans that didn't use them or didn't use them effectively. It was advantageous to use them, but it wan't unfair, and them same goes for engineered bases[period].

Just give it time SC will continue to tweak MM.

Remember all the complaints threads about zapping DE. And the No loot threads. It takes them a while but they will fix MM.

i will say that engineering which is a far diferent thing than a simple .5. Is not in the spirit of the game. Similiar to leaving TH outside ur base wasnt over a year ago. Even some utubers have gotten behind the anti engineer and more of them seem to have SC's ear.

Since December update we have faced a few engineer clans and the match ups havnt been as nearly as bad as before. They did seem to weight offense a hair higher. But we have also faced some matches that were heavily in our favor, and the problem was opposing clan upgrading way too much defense with out anything to kill a equally matched defensive clan with offense, (baby heroes mainly)

.5 was started as a simple transition to a new TH level and is still a great idea. But there are always those people that wanna take it too far and find out how much they can get away with, hence the birth of engineering.

I do hope SC would say what they are doing about this for the future instead of just making behind the scenes changes. Have u seen how much defenseless accts (with a paperclip) sell for on ebay lol. So i do hope they say something soon the keep people from spemding more money there are for gemming offense just so they feel like they can compete in war for their clans.

You are correct that engineered bases are not considered cheating by supercell (or by me).

Having engineered bases, if done correctly, does provide an advantage, although not as much as they used to. Whether it is an "unfair" advantage is a matter of opinion. Personally, I think that debate is almost senseless to have. The better debate is what is good for the game and I'm sure that is the one SC has. Will they help or hurt the long term health of the game by reducing the advantage of engineered bases? That is their question.

You are correct that any advantage a clan gets from engineering is legal. Whether it is fair or not, see the above paragraph.

Everyone has the same ability to use engineering on their second accounts. Many of us started playing before there were wars. As for second accounts, what about the person who doesn't have a second device? Yes, I know a player can put more than one account on a device but SC frowns upon that.

As for the tweaking, SC has already done a lot to reduce the advantage of engineered bases and will continue to to so I'm sure. There may be times where certain changes have unintended consequences. You say "until they do, there is nothing wrong with using them" which is a confusing statement. Now that you have been informed that SC has already made changes to reduce the advantage of engineered accounts (and has stated they are trying to reduce the advantage of them), does that mean you think now it is wrong to use engineered accounts? Personally, I disagree, but apparently you think it is wrong to use engineered accounts now that SC has made attempts to balance the war matches against engineering.

Bowlers and miners weren't OP. Let's not go there though. I agree it wasn't unfair to use them, of course. I also agree it isn't unfair to use engineered accounts. It isn't cheating, it is within the rules. SC has stated they want to reduce the advantage of lopsided bases and they have. I suspect they are continuing to work on it.

Our clan has already started going the engineered route. Better start late than never. Does not appear the SC will tweak the MM system soon. I suggest everybody encourage your Th7, th8 etc to upgrade to the next lvl and focus on a key troop upgrade.
