This used to be true - some engineered clans do so cos they have no skills - but with the recent loon buff, even the most unskilled attacker can 3 star the best designed th10 bases with mass laloon - we're now facing our third engineered clan in a row - won one, lost one and look like losing this one cos they have 6 th11s with max heroes including warden (and by max I mean 45/45 king and queen) - they have 11 more th11s with baby wardens - we have 6 th11s total, none of which have max heroes (45/41 is our best).

We have too many th10s and 9.5s and we are being penalised for it - it's getting less fun and challenging by day as these crappy engineered clans realise how easy it is to dip with mass laloons.

And supercell - no, loon buff is not the problem, fix your engineering bullcrappery - make offense a bigger part of war weight!

In our current 25/25 war - their lowest ranked player is a th11 with a defenseless base (10 walls, one cannon) but has a level 12 warden!

Check em out - clan name is Uptown Funk (#PYLQR882) - their bottom player is called Hand of Nambo (#22CPQU2U9).

Well folks I just upgraded my mini th8 accounts to th9. I will rush them the smart way or what we say" the engineered way" for my mini th8 accounts I will not buy one wall, or upgrade any defences. I will simply upgrade my drags and loons, than I will rush to th10 and upgrade my drags and loons once more, meanwhile I will not touch any defences or buy even a single defence. I advice my other clan members to do the same. I don't really care about getting raided as I will make that up with a few goblin knifes or gobarching. I can't wait till I am able to completely obliterate a th8 base as th10 engineered base. I feel like I am in a looney toones show, "If you can't beat em join them, thats all folks".

Supercell, at least to help to solve this very problem, I think you must make such a requirement to build all the defenses for every town hall level before the player can finally advanced to the next town hall level.
*remember good old game, age of empires?*

And you must set the weight value of every newly built defenses higher on their initial level, then just lighter on every next level upgrades of them.

And last but not least, the overall base weight must also calculated based on the quantity of all the defenses one base have built, meaning that if you have more defenses regardless of the level, your base will be heavier in the war rank.

And about the weight value for every option above... I think you must know how to set it better than me.

And if you do try to reason out an argument against a typical pro-engineer, they'll just pull these cards into the argument:

"It's a game of strategy, it's not forbidden."
"Adapt or quit"
"We play fair, you're just not good enough"

I'm sure it's been said before, but engineering is like TH sniping - it's simply not how SC intended the game to be played. Yes, it's in the game and not against the terms of service, but eventually they will have an answer. Hopefully it comes sooner than later

I'm just gonna start parroting this idea on every engineering thread.

Add an option to war that selects which town hall levels you wish to exclude from matching. You can then avoid TH11s or TH10s if you also do not have any on your roster. Same thing for roster engineering. Exclude TH1-6 from your matchmaking.

Problem with that is you'll really be bringing weight more in line with a strong TH9. You'd be better off going with getting laloon than drags under the current meta. If you think TH10 drags faceroll any TH9, you're in for a rude awakening.
