they know there are too many and that is why they have to be careful.

they are more likely be able to fix the top tier war (th11 and th 10 only wars) but not with th9 or lower.
engineered bases and clans only works for lower tier wars. im sure the clans having trouble with engineered clans has th8 and lower bases. not those th10 and 11 only clans

Well yes you will have a plethora of engineered bases out there. We also had a plethora of Th snipers and farmers. That to me was the biggest change in SC history as it affected at least 50 percent or more. However, there were some people who left because of the change but in the end we adapted to the new way.

It would be the same if they put out the "engineering fire". Assuming that SC will heavily change war weight to be more offensive/more hero lvls counted towards war weight. There will be clans that will now have to adapt and start upgrading their defenses, which means more $$ for SC. Same would go for those who have engineered or 0.5 their base. They will start upgrading their defenses which means more money for SC. Thats a Win Win for the War community.

Our current war pits us against two full TH 11's, three 10.5'star, three other TH 11 variations, eight full TH 10's, two full TH 8's and the rest are .5's of one kind or another. 30 person war. 20 of their bases are engineered. Should be a fair fight with the one TH 11 we have, right? Not like we're completely outgunned.
This has gone on too long in my opinion already. I've been playing over 3 yrs and I've had enough. Time to either stop doing war or just quit the game entirely. When the Fairplay initiative completely ignores perversion of the MM system for so long without recompense, the game will soon be no fun.

This Extreme Engineering argument continues to boil on the forums but can be easily summed up thus:

Pro-engineering--Don't play the game for the unique attacking strategies and building defensive conundrums, but simply to WIN by extremely outmatching opponents offensively (by manipulating the games mechanics) to set up huge offensive advantages.

Anti-engineering--Naïvely or not built account up and war in the "usual" fashion. Normal defenses and offense. Enjoys attack skills and developing them but tired of watching his/her mirror or near-mirror (offensive TH level 1-2 levels above his/hers) roll over his/her base in war in 58 seconds and seeing opponents with 3-5 extra high TH level offensive attacks left after they have rolled up a perfect score against him or her.

Everything else said about this pure lobbying and rationalization.

But there would be another problem even if they fixed engineered bases.

MM can always be manipulated. Like what happened in some wars we had before. even before engineering exist.
We war with th7 to th9 in our line up and we were match against sometimes with one or two maxxed or almost maxxed th10 with infernos at their top. This is because they carried 4 th3, which lower their clan weight.

The only solution im thinking is to make war attack limit to only one.

match TH vs TH is a fair one I guess.....
a roster who have several highest TH face with one and another who have the same amount of highest TH....
if you have higher hero.. why you fear to face a hard one.??
if you have higher troop... why you fear to face a hard base.???

I'm not discounting high level war play and the impacts that engineering may be having. I do have to point out, folks who play the game are very bright and will always try to find a way to gain an advantage. Do you not expect that? SC is clearly aware of the issue, but I want them to take the time and come up with a solution that does not make the situation worse.

I agree that people will always try to find an advantage. I'm neutral on the engineering subject because I think it's more important to adapt. We have engineers in our clan, but it was in response to seeing engineered clans in war. Adapt or die... it's natural selection. If SC makes engineering obsolete, which it seems to be trending that way, then our engineers have a lot of work to do... or their base goes in the trash. In our clan, the engineered bases are all 2nd accounts of our members, who prefer maxing.

In my clan, all the engineered bases are mine as no one else knows what they are as they do not read this forum.

All they know is that I can farm easier and attack better in war because my troops are higher then theirs :)

Of course, I also fill 98% of my clans troop requests and all of our war CC's.
