That does sound unfair.
You have 11 bases versus their 14 bases.
SC's matchmaking really screwed this one up. I was not aware we could do 11v14 wars.
Sounds like both clans are trying to manage (engineer) their war lineups.

Choosing to accept a war would be a great fix. No clan names, no countries, no player names. Just a line up of th levels. This way you could identify the presence of lopsided bases and reject it
Assessing a match based on TH levels is possibly the worst possible way. Being able to reject war matchups would lead to endless searches as almost every clan would look for an advantageous match.
The presence of lopsided bases does not mean that it is not a good match.
SC have, by their statement that they would be balancing lopsided bases, shown that they consider them to be part of the game. Learn to assess matchups better (not based on TH levels alone) and you will actually have a realistic assesment and not one based on nothing meaningful.
The problem is it could take many hours to find a match, maybe even days. This is not a change I would support. I support SC continuing to make small changes like they have (the one awhile back taking offense out of the equation was pretty bad, they have corrected that now). I've found the October changes have made a difference. I have a couple little filler accounts that I add to the bottom of our war lineup when needed and when I do that, I see the same thing or a defenseless on the enemy team. When I don't throw them in I don't usually see that on the enemy team. .5s have been removed as a permanent stopping point advantage, although they still are a good progression path. There are some suggestions to improve it even more. One I liked is that if there is a big enough spread between the offense/defense weight of the top couple halls compared to the bottom couple halls, then when that team searches for a match, the bottom couple halls are completely ignored from the match making search (for them and for opponents).
Edit: Aspex snuck in before me, I need to type shorter responses, as usual, I agree with him.
I don't think this will help as matchups are deceiving on prep day. One cannot tell how good the opponents are at actually attacking (playing the game) vs defending (watching the game) by looking at their bases/troop levels/etc.
CoC is a game based on offense. Start playing the game as intended. Every base can be and should be able to be 3 starred.
The changes SC made to the matchmaking system in October has really helped my clan win more wars. We are getting extremely fair matchups even if/when it does not look like it on prep day.
Every war for us since October has been won or lost by 3 stars or less when both clans fight till the end.
Im afraid if SC fix this war matchup with engineered clan. Right now, engineered bases are growing, imagine the forum when they fix this next year.
Edit: i own engineered bases, and have a one man clan, i also want SC plans about clans like us, since i got tired maxing my heroes.
its boring to have perfect star wars.
Few days ago sod made a post about his war clan that had a 20vs20 match, since octuber update had put more weitgh in offense he and his clanmate had Engineered bases with heavy defense with low heroes, problably with few research at lab to keep offense low, they won by 60/53....
Stop thinking that u can win be just playng...
If u dont do everything u can to win, dont complaing that u lost to someone that is playng to win....
