Lava hound and loon in CC is ideal for that TH7 doing the usual TH7 dragon attack. Nothing comes out of CC!

I'm starting to think there must be a very large segment of players that have bases with progression levels that appear similar to lopsiders- in one way or another. Something that is keeping SC from tweaking the MM in a way that would squash lopsided bases in pairings... that somehow anything they've come up with thus far- would severely affect the unknowing, casual player as well.
The classic mistake for casuals is to max out defenses ASAP, while offense lags. Some will max the offense before going to the next TH level, but many do not. I suppose there are some players out there who thoughtlessly created low defenses, 240 camp spaces, a level 5 cc & upgraded spell factories but only have early TH8 war troops. That type of base would be severely penalized by putting minimum weights on TH or creating a weight tax for those key offensive upgrades. I see very, very few bases like that. I see a lot more bases with undeveloped camps & spell factories way behind the TH.
You're probably on the right track though. There are so many variations on what a single base in a lineup can do, that getting 100% perfectly fair matches would require more CPU time & longer waits for war than SC believes is acceptable.
They fixed what was a completely messed up system in October, but unless they want to force guardrails on base progression to limit the variations, you're going to have the weird bases creating weird matchups. If 90% or more of your wars are reasonably fair & the rest tend to split evenly between easy/hard wins, I would say that's about as good as I'd expect. That looks to be the reality for balanced clans.
Ironically enough, we are finishing up a 15v15 war where the enemy #3 was a TH11 with well developed offense in a match where we had a single 9.5 at the top, the rest were TH8/9. He steamrolled our top 2, but their TH9s basically stunk. Looks like we'll win 45-40. The TH11 was ultimately a non-factor.
New much just set.
Us:
4 TH10
7 TH9
Them:
2 TH11 (max 45/45 heroes with wardens. No eagles)
7 TH10
5 TH9
Rediculous,
We had a doozy as well recently.
We had 4 th9s up top. The enemy had 3 th10s and a bunch of lopsided 9s and 8s.
Not cool
Man... I'd really like SC to comment on some of the suggestions (too many threads to even write) ... etc, and talk about their thought process & stuff we haven't considered...
I have a TH9 emgineered secondary acc with 3 lvl 1 cannons and 1 lvl 2 AT....thats it...it has lvl 2 drags
Everyone would like SC to clearly state what they are planning, it aint gonna happen though. SC are master secret keepers and at best you will get lawyer talk that will leave you more confused then when you started. Didnt you know that SC's plans on engineering are trade secrets and can be stolen allowing us all to make millions that SC would've made. Yes i know thats a ridiculous comment but it falls in line with the ridiculous stance SC takes on answering valid questions. The longer they wait the bigger the issue gets and becomes harder to fix, clearly state your position and vision for the future of the game and most clashers will adjust all by themselves before becoming irrelevant make a sudden change and alot get frustrated and quit. The smart path seems so obvious to me but im not often called smart. Im sure someone will correct me below, hopefully not in a nasty way but i have little hope of that.
