Blocking players

Getting really annoyed, I'm receiving friend request from same player again and again. Wants to join my clan and sends me invitation by making his own clan. I'm not posting this in Feature request category as every posts there gets ignored no matter how good your idea is.

But mainly, I want this feature to be available to block friend requests or to be seen in clan chat or global, close to "mute" but not actually mute.

Dear mods, with the remaining humanity left within you, please don't take it to Troops/Feature request category. That category is dead. Everything gets ignored. I don't know if this will help me get this feature or not but I do hope that SC will receive my message.

Just accept his friend request and be done with it.

Posting the idea in the wrong forum deliberately will not help get the feature.

Why not leave the next friend request from this person sitting there ignored, in order to prevent more of the same arriving in short order? It's not pleasant to be hounded by someone I agree, but from what you have described this person seems to be further triggered in the unwanted behaviour by what you are presently doing in rejecting the requests on receipt.

So instead of SC actually doing something necessary to fix this we should just use silly work around? Got it...

Not what I meant at all. Yes I think it would be nice if Supercell changed this. Is it likely to be a high priority game change/development option for them? No. What can one say to usefully help the person having a problem in the meanwhile? Well I gave my suggestion, do you have a different or better one for helping the OP with the present situation in facing the unwanted behaviour?

It is annoying. But just annoying.

Reject.

Over and over.

Say something fierce, even if only to yourself, every time you do it. Super fierce.

Perhaps something about Inigo Montoya?

accept his request > invite him to ur clan > kick him out :facepalm:
hope this'll let him understand that u don't like him/want him as a clan mate :caticon:

Not the best solution, but something to do in the meantime until SC addresses the issue.

Wait a minute if he's sending you invitations from his newly created clan then remove him from your friends lists to stop invitations

And switch your clan to closed for a week he will get bored

take pictures of every time he sends a request to support they will punish him and ban him for few days

Princess Bride reference FTW. Side note: I didn't know one of the main actors on Criminal Minds was the dude from Princess Bride until literally last week.

But yeah, it'd be nice if SC fixed this, and I expect they will eventually make it possible to "ban" or "ignore" users (it's not like it'd be hard to code that in).

What about him sending invitation to his clan until you actually accept and enter his? This happens again and again in cycle. This bothersome action should be blocked away.

Yes, true, it's really bothersome action. It won't be more than a few lines of code added into the game. It'd be very helpful if supercell actual does something about this.

This is beyond harrasment.

You get friend request

You accept it - he invites you to next clan he hops in - he does it again until you join.

You don't accept it - he sends friend request again - again and again.

You put it there, you find it annoying to tap that reject or accept button.

This happens and has been happening for more than 2 months now.

He can only send one a time, so if you neither accept nor reject it, but rather just leave it sit there, then there's nothing more he can do and will eventually get bored, hopefully. Ball is in your court. Yes the behaviour is unwanted and unreasonable, but there's no need to keep opening the door for him, given at this point there isn't an in-game way to prevent him from doing this to you. Hay Day got a friends feature after Clash had it, but there it has an extra option to be able to turn off friend requests (globally, not like an individual blocking)... so who knows what may be upcoming for Clash on the SC roadmap?
