You sure? About 3 wars back we got squished by a heavily engineered clan. Roughly our usual lineup: a couple of near max TH10s, then some 9.5s; maybe 5 of them. They had 6 strong infernos TH10s - nothing unusual there, although defensively they were on the strong side. They also had TH11 offence on 4 of them, including one maxed at 45/45/20. And good heroes on the rest. So much stronger than us on offence and defence all across the top.

The reason? The bottom half of their roster had no defence. We don't seem to get these matches anything like as much as before - SC seems to be separating them out more. However the balance on them if we do match is just as bad as it ever was. It doesn't seem SC have done anything to fix the accounting for low defence on the lower part of the roster at all.

Yeah we only got 97 Winstreak not as good as your clan, and maybe nobody other than bangkok ba war can catch u, congrats

but our other clan is now at 66-0-0 and counting hopefully can get triple digit, so yeah dip and double dip is good, maybe a triple dip if needed, lol

I member complaints awhile ago about not getting shield problem n I said fault isn't sc but the players. Hell broke loose n wore bulletproof vest. Apparently so far my assumption seems to b correct. Although I only have 1 lv1 cannon n sc made additional changes to shield (now u also have to use certain portion of ur army to get shield) still have no problems whatsoever making engineer acct. In fact its been ridiculously easy. Looks like claims that making a engineer acct is hard r completely false. Going to th9 in lil over a week. Stay tuned

No ty for invite as what u said made me c pic clearer now. Just bc one deems a base challenging doesn't mean its challenging for all. Everyone has diff skill lvs. (Not saying im pro or anything but im just used to hitting fully maxed bases so doesnt phase me but I do fail at times lol) so jus bc I dont find it challenging doesnt mean it isnt challenging for others. In that sense I was.wrong bc I only saw it from my pov. Now I know neither side is wrong in thought. Never saw this pt till u expressed it. I still stand by what I said but now have better understanding of other side. Before I thought some of the claims were ridiculous but now I think otherwise. Like i said before wait till you trying to save High levels of dark and normal elixor at townhall 9, you gonna get drillad by th9 and 10 and very often get no shield. You will soon enter the done where defencless becomes very painfull.

hey, maybe you got the midas touch, or maybe its got easier since i tried, saving up for the archer Queen did my head in, then theres camps and lab and lab upgrades. I gave up halfway through 9 and put down archers towers, teslas, and a few others, even then when I got to th10 i found it tough going till they were upgraded.

but i have 9 accounts so i cant raid as frequently perhaps as is necessary.

Aaaa that might b the key. Although I too have multiple I now ignore others n focus on some. Maybe frequency of playing acct is key? Tbh not sure but ill keep yall posted n give u real results whether it makes me right or wrong.

Th 9 can be hard because the upgrades take so long and so much. When I did it I rushed to th10 after army camps, lab, and spell factory were complete. Much better de there and as long as you have troops in your cc a shield still isn't hard. The only time it gets rough is if you have both heroes down.

Aaa ty for ur experience n insight. Im a ok farmer n never had problems gaining resources with or wo heroes so I dont foresee that being a problem. Im only worried about def (no shield attacks) but so far havent experienced that problem.

My clanmate screwed the attack, he got only 1* opponents 2* 55% so we lost that one, the attack planned as what we discussed, but he has some problem when executed it, lol

My clanmate was an avid farmer before, so that is why I. Put him into test clan till he can improve his attack skill, he has improved a lot, as u have seen in 2 previous wars, but this war he seem been to tense, lol

Lol I have same in my clan. Hes hardcore farmer n had misperceptions but now knows more n improving. Just needs experience is all. He sits out till war skills r up to par but learns quickly n I kno he will get it down quick

better ask him to push to Titan league, my clanmate highest thropy was only high champ before, but now he almost reach TItan, then he can practice using war army all the time, and put him in a feeder clan with low accts, so he wil improve much faster, lol

Hes been in titan awhile already lol. His mindset about game was incorrect hence the struggle n im showing him what needs to b done to become a better warrer. Thank god hes not a emo sensitive dude n can handle constructive criticism lol if u didnt notice I try to speak realistically n factually which in turn can sound harsh but he knows my intention is to not degrade but to help. Lol we tried feeder clan to have more pressure free wars but didnt work put. Although we love war we r patient which explains our low war totals. I just recently warring myself lol. Im not a gemmer so I became a hardcore farmer sacrificing wars but now since im maxed I wanna jus focus on war but rest of my mates not ready yet so I wait for them. In meantime I try to show what it takes to become a solid warrer. Baby steps. Rome wasnt built in a day. XD can say so much more but too much writing involved lol plus as much as I criticize others I also criticize myself. I realize I still need to sharpen up my skills also

Experiences of turning th9:

As expected life as a defenseless th9 has been super easy thus far. Still getting 15 hr shields n having no problems with gettin resources n keeping em. To b continued.....

Lv 53 in masters2 n apparently warnings engineering a dless acct would get harder once u th9 doesnt seem to hold true here. Aq ug nonstop thus far n already have enuff to ug her again once she wakes up. Already working on legos as rest of walls should catch up to skulls very soon. Done this all gemless with no boost or instant. Only 88 gems away to get fifth builder.

Ok now I hear making engineer bases dont get hard till heroes r high lv. So exactly at what lvs do they have to b for engineer base building being harder bc I dont c it yet. To me its been super easy n way faster than building balanced bases

It's viewed as difficult if you go for the single cannon and no walls type accounts where the attacker doesn't have to use 30% of your army space to 3 star you. Those accounts will complain it's hard because they can go through a few defences getting 3 starred with no shields.

If you build it in mind to have enough defences and walls to force attackers to use that 30% troops threshold then it's easy and sometimes it attracts a lot of nub attackers that gives you wins, or at least means you won't lose much resources.

TBH, I found the shield update very beneficial to my engineered account, I have one of those accounts where there are enough defences and walls too force the attacker to use enough troops to give me a shield. Under the current shield system I can get 5 attacks under a shield, under the TH snipe rules, I had to raid in sessions for it to be profitable otherwise I would lose what I gained from one attack.

I think people that continually perpetrate the "engineered bases are harder to build" mentality are still stuck in the TH snipe era of thinking or really don't have enough defences/walls to force players to give them a shield.

If u have heroes defending + CC troops + traps + maybe teslas it's already enough to get a shield almost everytime you get 100%d.
It gets "hard" in the sense you need to raid more because you'll always get 100%d (and it's mostly about DE cause farming elixir is a joke atm)
Ironically when I was building a defenseless base it was harder to get shields at TH7/8 because ppl would just drop a few troops and snipe some loot and go away. Maybe it was the low league causing that too XD

It isn't hard to farm a defenseless as long as you are actively farming it. I'm a th10 with a 40 aq, and a 30 king in champs. I still don't have a problem getting a shield. I just can't log off until I'm ready to be hit cause it takes about 2 minutes of being logged off before someone crushes me. I have come to the conclusion that any mini that I build in the future even if they nerf engineering into oblivion will be a defenseless with walls at least till I hit th9 cause being able to work on your hero's, and farm dark elixer is huge from a progression stand point. Do you agree?

Absolutely no problem getting a shield. The difficulty at th9+ is heroes. I can replace the gold and elixer lost in an attack with 1-3 attacks the DE is a different story. Not a problem till heroes get above 15. It just gets slower but not harder.

I agree with that. I try to farm in 4 hour blocks so that I can stack the dark, but yeah I lose 3300 dark every time I log off. Where as on my main account I put the storage in the middle, and over half the time they don't even get to it.

Agree wit yall experiences. Defo not harder. Of course slower slightly bc u will b 100 everytime u log off. But only slower if u not active with it. Still faster than ug ur bases in balanced manner from what I seen. Im not gemming so im wasting tons of de as heroes sleep so even if I lose alot of de, I can get it back in 1 raid.

Ok its been a minute since I last updated. So here goes. Clears throat* still havent experienced any hardships with my dless engineer th9 acct. In matter of fact has been easy. Way easier (in terms of time) than making a balanced base. Ive been.forwarned it gets harder once heroes r high lv but I dont foresee that as problem as I been carrying 150k de for a bit. Anyways been busy farming so havent warred since last update n finally started warring again. 2 wars so far n even tho people been complaining still after update, I dont c sc doing a bad job overall with it. Think people focusing wrong on the "problems". Most of these problems can b solved if u know how to attack well. Just my analysis thus far. Shrug. To b continued.....

I find that always having 16 hour shields to work with to be a blessing.

I haven't farmed with my defenseless townhall 11 in a while but i do have 34/41/20 heroes on it. It's not that hard if you are active and the 16 hour shields are nice.

began working on my engineered th11. I was running low on elixer so i needed to attack with barch again. Something new I have done this time is bring lighting for zapping de drills. The de is overflowing and easier than ever so my previous statement about it being harder to farm heroes once the get to a higher level. Disregard, it's not hard.

Kimchi with your experience of higher TH, and that amount of work it is not hard at all, because this game is more about attacking, 5000/30 CC defense = 160+ of defense in just 7 days of this season, so you r defending around 20+ per day, it means less then 1 hours /defense minus sleeping time, mean u are working in this acct all the time.

For normal player with normal play time I think it will be much much slower, that is my point, and in TH11 every defense you lose 3.5k DE, then you have to make up that amount, if you dont attack more then 5-10 times a day, the progress will be much slower

I didnt dont defend 20+ times a day but nost likely do play than most I assume. I work 13+ hrs a day so defo can do more than 10+ raids a day. Dont know exact number bc I jus play when I feel like it or when I can. Probably 20? I kno i can progress faster than most bc I raid more than most but most I ever had in a season was lil over 400 but usually 300+. Keep in mind I farm high so I win 99.9% of times bc I want the bonus.

hes attacked 129 times so far, so its possible that most of those were for attacks, but hes still doing 18/19 attacks per day, which is intense work. Ive never had a raid count that high. So hes sending 5000 max troops per weak, which is effectively an elixor transfer, and attacking almost 20 times per day. This is heavy effort, and if the argument is if creating a defencless base is easy, certainly does not pove the prove that it is easy. Its interesting that he manages to get shields without problem, that wasnt my exprience when i was building a low defence account.

Wow u guys r mathematicians lol. Tbh im too lazy n too busy to jot down exact figures but sounds bout rite. I would have to guess 18/19 raids a day. Never thought my activity would make engineering easier but sounds valid. I do get 15 hr shields like 95% of times =) another reason y I love farming high bc of long guards after shields wear off.

I think it is very easy to be in Champion as TH9, I saw a defenseless TH9 in Titan few months ago, I have a plan to bring my Defenseless TH11 to Titan next few months, should be a breeze, as long as u attack more then defense, then when my Heroes maxed, I can try to be in low legend

Agreed but with my lifestyle I cant b online constantly to reach titans quickly. I usually just raid n go n if I get attacked for alot of cups, shrug idc bc im only farming anyways. I dont push. I prefer crystal farming with my defenseless. I can just barch on a 4 hour sprint.

Higher up, i would have to train a better army. The net resources gained would be less per unit of time spent.

Boring/ tedious is one reason y I switched over to loonian over barching. To each is own, u feel crystal n I feel champs/titan (bare minimum masters). Was ranked below a th6 lol. I easily crushed way higher(th 8 max) n could have even hit th9s but didnt need to. As predicted my views on engineering hold true. No to very minimal skill is needed. Although I understand y some engineer the claims some make (we r highly skilled, we enjoy comp n challenges, its hard making engineer acct) r false. Sorry engineers. Truth is truth. kimchilove, you are not being perfectly neutral in your assessment. if you examine your claims versus engineers 1 by 1 the objective assessment is murky at best. Look at some of the evidence and the reasons why your proof is not sound.

1 claim minimal skill is needed. Your proof is not in any way logically sufficient. You claim you crushed an enemy base easily, which i'm sure you did, but the choice of base is aubitrary. A maxed th11 can crush the th3 on the bottom of the map and say it took no skill so maxers have no skill, its clearly a nonsense claim. Upgrading air def and archer towers for each townhall level. One differenc may be, given the 5000 troops per week you give the account, having these constantly in the cc may be the key to getting the shields, even if you get hit as soon as you log off, something that is not possible for everyone.

tldr- shields, you have challenges my experince and beliefs to the point I am restesting. the problem is you cannot prove some of your claims with your actions. Lets assess the one of skill level of engineers. You may be the most skilled attacker in clash universe, and can defeat all engineers, but this has no baring on the skillz of engineers versus maxers in general. Its not logically relevant. The same goes for the bases you face or choose to face in war, its not a necessary or sufficient condition for your arguments to skill level, its simply not relevant. Its not that I doubt that you hit and kill easy bases, its that i'm saying the bases you hit can never support or refute claims regarding the general skill of engineers.

with regard to the effort put it, the only evidence that I have seen is when I came to visit without warning, and saw the 5000 troops in 1 week and 19 attacks per day. i dont doubt the number may have changed since then, but given your clear bias on the subject, and the fact that I brought up this evidence versus your claims before, their is no way for me or anyone to know if you have simply taking your foot off the gas. The only evidence that I can rely on, as you had no warning, was my first visit. i cant say for certain iether way, but given the chance to observe facts without warning, or with, i am more inclined to believe without. If you suprised test and athlete for banned substances, or you give them a specific date for a test in advance, which test would you believe. If would have to be a controlled test, one balanced account on same level, doing the same number of raids per day, with the same troops, getting the same cc defence and attack troops, for at least 3 weeks, then assess the accumulation of elixir and dark elixir, shields versus non shields. i think it would make for a very interesting test. It would have to be a balanced base with similar offence.

that test could give some evidence to compare the difficulty level in building the 2 account types.

for the skill claim I cannot see any test we could set up to offer support iether way.

For the shields claim i'm now 93% sure your not only offerter your true perception, but further giving an accurate representation of that accounts reality. I'm still going to go forward with my test for my own interest.

Agree to Viking, building defenseless Acct is not harder compared to normal base, if you invested time and/or money, and what u do is way above average clasher based on the number of attack u made, but for normal clasher, building defenseless base is quite challenging, just try to use a TH7-9 acct and get down to 700-900 thropy, u will see ton of unfinished dead defenseless bases every 2-3 next

I agree its a huge hassel, but its the only way be able to make claims regarding the ratio of effort to reward comparing the 2 account types. Without a control its hard to claim anything objectively.

My claim is a defencless is harder, I dont have anything to prove it besides my personal exprience running 10 accounts, ranging for periods from super .5 to defence rushed. i had a highly engineered for a short while but for me upgrades become impossible so I upgraded it to a semi super .5, soon to be a .5. I have just made a new point only account, where is will only uppgrade archer towers, air d, tesla and Wall, to see how it goes for a player like me, who does 4 to 6 hits a day.

For me and way the game is played requires nomore skill than any other style. Currently I'm messing around with a premier style, going for max defenses and barch troops only. My clan still works as a team an it still 3* and we still win. What I do know is this:
1. Coc is a strategy game. It needs a plan to be good at it.
2. There are many plans to this game some are faster than others. Each has strengths and weaknesses. A style of play is a strategy.
3. CW is about team work. Everyone has different skills
4. Those with the best skill should not always win cw. Might not have a good strategy.
5. Those with the best strategy should not always win cw. Might not have good skills.
6. Winning in cw requires both strategy and skill. A plan and talent.
This is not directed at anyone person. Just my thoughts on the conversation of the past few pages.

i guess its side effect of drawing a war with 2 defencless th11 with 20 20 10 heroes on the bases 4 from bottom and second from bottom on the map. Objectively I can have no objection as I run a lot of .5 bases, but man did I try find some subjective moral high ground, just could not get any firm footing to get up there.

Wow thought I was dedicated,clasher but yall take it to next step. Bravo. In regards to how,active I am, I know im more active than typical clasher. Explains y I was able to max few accts. With that said, I never had attacks in a season go over 400+. That's most I ever had. I usually avg 300+ tho if acct needs farming. Defo more than avg clasher but I don't think thats ridiculously high number. I can afford to attack that much bc I mainly clash at work. Thats like 10 raids a day which easily can b done in 13 hr work days.

I don't believe one strategy does dominate. Multiple strategies are needed to be successful. For example you need an anchor for a defenseless to be effective otherwise the war will end in a draw. A team would need both air and ground attacks and create a plan for which to use on which base.
I think the best strategy is to think like a football team. You have lineman, running backs, and receivers. Just like you have anchors, ground attackers, and air attackers. Each clan needs just the right mix of all three. Having everyone be all three carries to much excess. A clan of jack of all trades will usually lose to a clan that has masters of one skill at each skill needed.
Look at the strategy of attacking. Most involve tanks(air or ground) followed by attackers(wizards/valks or loons/minions)
Some balance would be required but it goes like this a specialized clan will beat a generalized clan because they have a better team strategy.

you remins me a bit of sinofdusk who makes similar claims regarding the uselesness of defence, I get the feeling you guys would progress rapidly whatever you do far faster than I have ever on any account type. I'm not sure if that proves defence doesnt matter, or if your both simply machine farmers.

What I do is nothing amazing or highly skilled where others cant do same. he used to post his base pics showing his progress speed, it was impressive given his weak defence. But like I say did I think he was just a good raider in terms of results to effort.

Yes, I am totally agree with your above statement, and I am building 1 offense less anchor now, and I already have defenseless 1 th11 ground specialist and 1 th11 air specialist now, and another th10 turning to th11 ground specialist

Bit of both. Trust me I know bc ive done same lol. Raid effectively n efficiently + raiding decent amount to alot= fast base progression. More important part of that equation is amount of raiding.

Storage raider mostly. Dead bases r just a bonus to me. I dont have time nor patience to only look for dead bases. I wanna tap it n quit it lol. If u look thru my profile for posts I had quite a few debates over his "most effective n efficient way to farm". I even issued a challenge as word games were getting a bit boring but he declined. He than said a true farm competition lasts 12-24 hrs for "true" results. No way am I staying online that long lol. I said one hr at first than extended it to two.

that would probably be a farming match I would watch live stream for a few hours to get some tips. Cant say that about many farm offs.

I wanna farm faster, it may be having 10 accounts slows me down, or maybe i'm not efficienct. If I could watch some efficienct farmers i'm sure it would be a learning experience.

Theres ur problem or perceived problem. No such thing as "efficient farm" that applies to all. It all depends on ur schedule, how much u enjoy playing game, etc. What works for one may not neccessarily work for others. Not everyone can barch dead bases for hrs on in. Not all can play consecutive hrs. Etc. Thats y I lol at those who say the most efficient n effective way to farm is yadda yadda yadda. It may apply to u but doesnt mean it applies to all. Even tho I storage raid ill gladly challenge any low league barcher since their argument is "cost per unit n per time" yadda yadda yadda. I farm high n use loonian mostly n I think im pretty sure I can make equivalent to more than any low barcher per hr basis.

allow me to give you 2 samples, 1 from a defenseless 10 and another (don't know how to call it) TH5 defenses with TH9 offense.

since it was battle day last night, i was not able to look into this th10 defenseless before i went to bed.
it got raided with an AQ, 4 giants and 6 wizzies which was only enough for a 30min guard. It had a cc of giants because i indended to raid and load the cc before going to bed but did not happen.
after that, it got raided again by 73 gobs which got another 30min guard before i finally put in good cc troops.

now, on to the TH5def-TH9 offense account, I scanned through a period where I just collected but did not raid.
this acct got 12-16 hour shields on only TH5 defenses....not much effort since the collectors compensate for what is raided.

being easy or difficult depends a lot on how much time you put into the acct as well as the luck factor of those nasty raiders who purposely do not give you a shield.

Understood but 19 raids a day isnt accurate for me lol. Read earlier posts. On topic of it being easy or difficult is arbitrary. To me easy means: ug easily/retaining most of ur loot getting long shields pretty quickly/ ug faster than making balanced bases. Time to me isnt basis of it being easier or harder. Just means how quickly u can progress base.

Uh huh and? Only shows frequency of raids. As I stated before, most important factor is amount of raids one can do for fast base progression.

I assume he only shows progression of base (mostly made thru amount of raids one can do) n ss of attack logs (handpicked) right? Im not saying his way isnt effective but its certainly not the most efficient n effective way to farm as he claims. I havent followed any of his suggestions n I feel I farm decently. I have bases n profiles to back it up. I can even show it live if need b. (Hence the farm challenge but was declined) not bc I wanna show im better than u. Lol I can care less if im better or worse than u. I just do me. Its only a game afterall. I only debate when I c foolish or false claims.

What clan are you in kimchi? I'll bring my defenseless 11 to fc sometime. My skill level is the same regardless of whether i use the max base or the engineered base so the results are pretty much the same.
