This Extreme Engineering argument continues to boil on the forums but can be easily summed up thus:
Pro-engineering--Don't play the game for the unique attacking strategies and building defensive conundrums, but simply to WIN by extremely outmatching opponents (by manipulating the games mechanics) offensively and set up huge offensive advantages.
Anti-engineering--Naïvely or not built account up and war in the "usual" fashion. Normal defenses and offense. Enjoys attack skills and developing them but tired of watching his/her mirror or near-mirror (offensive TH level 1-2 levels above his/hers) roll over his/her base in war in 58 seconds and seeing opponents with 3-5 extra high TH level attacks left after they have rolled up a perfect score against him or her.
Everything else said about this pure lobbying and rationalization.
