Are mortars meant to be the inside or outside triangle/wiz towers?

Mine are outside triangle and wizard towers are inside protecting storages but im not sure really

It depends on your design and what basic layout you have chosen. If all your storages are seperated (like in Jun's Pokeball) your Mortars are more centralized. If you use a vault (where most of the storages are in the middle) your Mortars are usually just surrowning the center.

Both has it's benefits, I personally prefer to have them more outside, so they attack earlier and I don't want to be practically destroyed just becaues my enemy manage to get to the mortars.

I have mine Mortars inside of Wizard Towns. This way if the troops are trying to attack the Wizard Towns Mortars can attack a lot of the troops.

I have both inside with wiz towers closer to the storages.
