UPDATE: after struggling so hard we manage DRAW the WAR... thanks for the support for not giving up...
Congratz on the tie, I thought you were going to lose. That was definitely an uphill battle. Thanks for letting me come take a look.
Here's the more detailed match-up for others who were curious...
Enemy Posters Clan Max TH9 15/17 Max TH9 20/20 Max TH9 17/16 Max TH9 16/19 Max TH9 12/16 Max TH9 19/20 Max TH9 12/15 Max TH9 12/12 Max TH8 BK10 Max TH8 BK 10 Max TH8 BK 10 Max TH8 BK 10 Mid TH8 BK 9 Max TH8 BK 10 Mid TH8 BK 10 Max TH8 BK 7 *Defenseless TH10 8/7 Max TH7 BK 5 **Defenseless TH11 5/5/5 Mid TH6
* Level 5 drags as main war troop
** Level 6 drags as main war troop
You did in fact receive a bad match-up. Nice job on battling through!!
I'm guessing that the defenseless TH10 couldn't triple your 9s. However I assume the defenseless TH11 did?
Can anyone notice the disadvantages and increasing unfair play in clan wars and mismatch? There's an increase of clans encouraging their players to rush th with lower defenses but with max troops so as to gain advantage against their opponent. After all what's a max th9 with max defenses can do against a th11 rusher with complete troops and spell but ranked against a lower th simple because the defenses were not upgraded purposely. This is unfair advantage and the clan wars are not so enjoyable anymore. Like for now, we've had 1 th 11, 5 th10 in the line up and we are matched with 5 th11, 4 of which are rushers and matched against th9s or lower. Can supercell match a th level against its own th level regardless of its defenses, th10 vs th10 etc so as to discourage this obvious form of cheating and gaining advantage on clan wars...i am happier before when we have to really play well and the war is about strategy rather than intent mismatch.
I think it's Darwinian. Adapt or die. Is being smart and engineering to get easier wars really that much worse then being smart and dropping trophies to get easier loot? Too much difference between new th and nearly maxed th of the same level to match solely on th levels. And for the 10 billionth time, your mirror is rarely who you should be attacking in war. Most of the time, attacking down is better and occasionally attacking up would be best.
Every war your clan has an advantage somewhere. Either up top, bottom, or middle. Being able to recognize and execute a plan to get the best results from this advantage is the key. Recognize where your advantage is and you will either get more attacks on the top for those crucial stars and % pts or more stars because you were stronger up top and didn't waste attacks leading to efficient clean up below.
We are adapting, thank you. But the war is losing its appeal because of this.
