I was unsure of where to put this question. But I am a few weeks away from TH 8 and I was wondering if anyone can lead me to a forum of how to progress through the town hall level In the most effective way (I.E. what to level up first, general hints, tips) I am leaning more towards the offensive side ( Upgrading troops, spells, etc.) But if it is more reasonable to do something else first I would like to know. Thank you very much.

You have the right idea

Offense is the way to go. But honestly the best thing you can do is be part of clan that can readily donate to your CC for raids: max Hogs, max pekkas, or bowlers, are all great tools to help you fully take down bases to get you the resources you need to keep your builders busy. When you're done raiding stock it with a dragon, or two max valks with wizards to protect yourself. Get your cc upgraded first, and I'm sure you did your TH7 spell factory upgrade long ago. Prioritize offense, and then upgrade your defense however you like while you're waiting. IMO, balloons are a great first offensive upgrade because of so many resource-rich bases that have weak ADs. Distract with a BK, send in cc max hogs with heals to destroy the weak AD's, and then launch your balloons to wreck the base. Rebuild your base so that the cc is dead in the center and your defenses lie right on the proc circle to make sure raiders pay for visiting your base (because they have to commit something substantial to pull your cc). If you keep all five builders going the whole tour will likely take 4-6 months. Took me 18 weeks. No need to rush, as TH8 is a blast.

Thank you for your time that you took to read and respond. That sounds like a good plan to me. I believe it will take me longer to get through the tour, I only have 4 builders 😂. I never would have thought of that attack strategy. This is why I love the forums. Thank you again
