But they really don't give a valid idea of what to upgrade. There is no obvious connection between the actual war weights and those spAnser numbers. For the Oct-Dec version I had a list of item weights that could predict the bases I could find - I was struggling to find a counter example. But I just can't see any connection between those numbers and the spAnser numbers. Not even trying some ideas for a second layer of conversion between those numbers and item weights (before the final conversion of total weight to gold in stores)
To take another specific example, spAnser has the max inferno at 10100, and max eagle at 9950. But if you make a decision on building the eagle based on the assumption it counts less than an inferno you are going very wrong - in reality it's more like the weight of 3 infernos.
We had an enemy base last war with 2 infernos (lvl 2 IIRC), 1 lvl 1 xbow and the mandatory cannon. And it seemed like about TH7 or TH8 traps. And low heroes. Add that lot up using spAnser and it'll be under 20k defence weight I reckon. So a TH5 rated base that would confound any enemy TH5? Maybe our enemy believed the spAnser numbers. I hope he didn't spend any real money gemming it. Because it was actually 67k - strong TH9 territory. And it was tripled first try by a mid TH8. Oops.
