A quick fix to engineering clans. One that will work!

Ok many of us have faced engineering clans and feel the aggravation of facing such clans. Its o.k. to deal with a few but when the entire clan is engineering to gain the advantage that poses a problem system wide.

An idea to stop the nonsense is a simple fix.

If your th mirror is mismatched SC will award the disadvantage base an extra star for hitting the TH. For example if you are a th9 and your mirror is an engineered th10. Than if you attack that mirror you will get 2 stars for destroying the th an additional 1 star for 50 percent damage.

This way it will create an environment that is fair and at the same time get everyone who is engineering to start upgrading their def.

Let make this game the way it was meant to be played.

That might work, although a lot of people might argue that even that is unfair. But it might just actually work and it would not be much coding on SC end. I could see it working to the point that engineered bases will start upgrading their defences to make sure that they will face the proper th lvl if that happens. Good idea mate!

Not necessarily. By doing that it just makes it even more unfair. Imagine in a 15 vs 15 war, the top 5 are up to speed town hall 10s. However, the bottom 10 players are all town hall 5. With the idea you gave, the bottom 10 on the other team would likely be higher levels due to the top 5 being town hall 10.

So yeah, it would just create a new way for the matching system to get manipulated.

Take a look at this thread, it addresses the same problem but uses town hall as a minimum weight.

I don't think this would work. You're going to three star engineered bases most of the time anyway because they're weaker (if significantly engineered). So the extra star just brings you up to the 3* you woulda got. Also engineering isn't against the rules so they can't be punished for not breaking rules

I think O.P. meant it only applies to your mirror base not any other base. So for example I am assuming O.P. meant if you base 15 as a th8 and their base 15 is a th9. Then as a th8 you can attack the th9 base and get an extra star for destroying the th, plus the 50 percent bonus. So this allows you to cover your mirror base and still be able to 3 star that base. So if base 15 attacks base 1 he cannot get the extra star for the TH bonus. It has to be the mirror base.

This way if you do have to attack your mirror and it happens to be a 1 th lvl higher than you. you are now able to 3 star that th9 base where normally you could only have 2 starred as a th8 in the past. The fact of the matter is if you do face an engineering clan with a lot of lopsided bases than of course we are going to get into a lot of bases who normally can 3 star their mirror now cannot. Which is why O.P. idea is genius. and I think it will work to balance the engineering clan to get this unfair advantage of mismatching thier th lvls in their favor to create an advantage or visa versa disadvantage in war.

This will cause all those engineering clans and bases to stop twisting the system in their favour and create a war environment that is fair and fun for all.

Just a quick point of order... your "mirror" has little to do with the actual overall line up of a war roster or matching. Also outside of the top few bases on each side mirrors and weights become fairly meaningless.

In the future if you find that you're constantly facing such heavily engineered clans that you need to come to forums creating silly threads like this then you should probably be looking at your own roster. My guess is you're engineering your roster looking for easier matches yourself and that's why you're getting these kinds of matches.

Hey are you engineered yourself. Why are you calling this a silly thread? Why are you blaming our clan roster. This has nothing to do with clan and roster and more to do with the exploitation of a war system that has gone mad. Read the threads on the forum. I am assuming you are an engineered clan or an engineered base for saying such a thing. It is pretty obvious. Otherwise you would have added some suggestions or ideas that would be more geared towards helping this engineering problem the clash community is facing. I get it. you enjoy getting the advantage in war. Good for you.

And no, we are not trying to find easier bases. All we want is to make sure when we do face lopsided bases, that our th8s for example do not have to encounter th9s with 4 ads, and 2 lvl 1 xbows plus the extra walls, traps, or what have you. So anyone saying these bases are easier because they are weaker. Not for a th8 with max troops facing 4 ADS, A QUEEN, AND 2 XBOWS. so there is not possible way our th8s can 3 star that base and if you have 5 or more of these lopsided mirror base match ups?
