WE BEAT Another ENGINEERED CLAN.. fight fire with fire

It appears that until further notice, or adjustments, engineered clans is a fact of the game. My advice to all of you in clans and taking war serious (and NOT in CWL).. start creating second accounts!

About a year ago, I started my "little" account with nothing but a cannon. A year older and it's a TH10, with Max Penta, Mass Bowler and Mass Hog Ready. Heros are 5/5 and other troops upgrading as I can (so hard to farm and keep resources). It was the only account like that in the clan because we had a slew of Asian clans with even more bases like that kicking our butts. We had to adapt.

Now, we have 2 such accounts - Weakened offensively TH10s - and a few others have gone to 9.5, 8.5 and even 7.5! A few wars back we faced a heavily engineered clan and beat them.. Way too many 9.5s and our 'true' TH11s and TH10s at top easily got stars they could not answer to. Again this weekend we faced a SEVERELY engineered clan with 5 TH11s with Wardens and 2 have MAX HEROS.. and they are at positions 1, 2, 9, 15 and 24... their 24 HAD 40/40/20 Heros. THey also had 4 TH10s.. or 9.5 because they had no infernos.. that again, our TH10s easily took (and some of our TH9s).

My point is simple.. If you aren't a skilled attacker - if your clan is not full of skilled attackers - being engineered will not help you. And on the flip side, don't panic if you come across a heavily engineered clan.. just do your best attacks and plan accordingly. You may in fact beat them because they are relying on war match up... not their skill.

Good luck to you all... it's a part of the game until they nerf or buff it.. just like everything else!

We started with a TH10 that I painstakingly engineered with max drags and spells. Now I am personally running 3 engineered accounts. We usually pair up with other engineered clans. It's fun. May the best attacks win.

To be successful in war, it takes a plan, lots of practice attacks, and a will to adapt.

While some may disagree with engineering or not, I think this is the first thread I've seen where we finally see a normalizing of war matchups with Engineer vs Engineer. This is a good thing, although it's taken 9 months or so to see, finally engineers are losing thier extreme advantages. I myself am a Maxxer, however I appreciate the "fight fire with fire" strategy. Everyone should be able to play how they see fit no matter the current meta.

OP please tell me you ended a long streak of thiers too.😀

This is the maxxer mentality that spawned all those anti engineering threads.

Witches got nerfed, people moved on.

Miners got nerfed, people moved on.

Maxxers got nerfed, people whined.

My advice would be to try and avoid engineered clans altogether. Don't forget that 'balanced bases' is actually a confirmed checkbox within the matchmaking algorithm.

I have a max th11 account, which is my first account and maxed townhall level (more or less) before upgrading

Then i started my second which is a th10 with th8 lvl defence, max valks, lvl2 bowlers, 14/12 heros, it offended defends well as its a really good anti 3 star layout and th9s always take it for granted!

Then i have my th6 with 1 cannon, now going to th7 all max troops :)

we have many th8.5s, a 9.5, a th7 defensless, heavily engineered th9 ranking under all other th8s, and a th5 with 1 cannon!

We dont want to play the game this way, others forced us, but when you get there man its fun!

Thank you. It's what I've been saying. It still takes skill to attack and win. With you defenseless I'd rec limited offense to say dragons or gowiva. Otherwise the added offense weight will weigh against you. Just future reference.
Every strategy in this game has something the clan needs to work for. Trophy pusing requires skill in getting a 1* and strong defenses. So maxing is a good strategy there.
War requires a balance in clanmates some are high defense/low offense. Others are High offense/low defense. People right now think it's just about offense. Those with high war streaks have a combo of both. Again strategy.
Others just want to farm. FWA works well and needs more heavy offense and defense.
Donation clans just need limited offense.
See all the different ways to play. Each one has it's own skills. Those that think this game is about war only should adapt war only strategies rather than try to make everyone adapt to how they want it.

Haha great story op. As an engineer myself, whenever we face someone who has out engineered us, igive a little tip of the hat and say "game on!!"

And brother Carey, our war matchups are probably 80% against other clans with engineered bases. The other 20% are against clans that try to skew their matchups with low lvl accounts at the bottom. It's pretty rare we see a straight matchup with a "normal" clan.

How stupid is it, that upgrading your troops and defenses is a negative?? SC NEEDS to make it so that you get rewarded in war for maxing your TH, not for only maxing a few defenses and troops. I don't want to worry about building a defense or upgrading something, because it will make war harder. Why should war be harder for me, because I did more work??

It's a flawed system and SC needs to fix it. We shouldn't have posts about people being excited about out engineering, engineered clans. It isn't good for the game, to have to sit and not build things, so you won't be weaker.
