Let me point out that maybe CWL are fun and probably have strong clans competing against each other and whatnot but reality is there's only 32 clans competing :/ Not exactly showcasing ALL the strong clans out there.

O I understand y its done n reasons r defo valid. Urs for example is great reason y to engineer. I was only talking about those players who think engineered clans r skilled (im sure some r but overall most likely not) another reason I feel is valid: I have maxers mentality n wanna play game competitively but im tired of matching up against these engineer clans. Since I cant beat them ill just join em instead. Ill engineer acct to level the playing field.

First of all the keeping defenses low to get a better match used to work. The new MM accounts for defense and offense weight. If you are matched against a clan with much more offense power, do an inventory of your defense totals compared to theirs. I'll bet you will have more key defenses (xbows/infernos).

As SupremeCleave stated, My accounts also are totally engineered to give us a fighting chance at winning. Our clan has elderly people (50+), young people, and a whole range of family members with varied degrees of attack skill from okay to not so okay and some "what was that" attacks. We are strategically structured to be competitive and efficient in wars.

You should figure out what balance is best for your clan to make your wars the most efficient. Your elites can skimp on defenses while your not so elites can max them. Or something like that.

At the end of the day (as far as we can tell since offense weights are hidden), each clan war is matched with a close overall clan weight. How you choose to proportion your clans weight is up to you.

And defending skills, you'd be surprised to see how many max th9's with 20/20+ heroes struggle against an 8.5. Why bring the extra weight if you don't need it? Why not use it towards your offense?

This is where our philosophies differ. I dont focus on just wins or losses. Winning at any cost to me isnt important. Im more focused on HOW we won or HOW we lost n take it from there. Me, personally, I will gladly take a loss over a hard fought competitive fair matchup than a win over a overmatched clan. To me that win cheapens it but thats just me.

Lol u need to read more engineer posts than. Not accusing anyone in particular. Im just speaking generally. If u decide to do some reading u will c lame statements like: I attack max th n can three them or our clan is skilled, u should c some of our matchups. Our wars can b hard at times(forgetting to mention only couple bases might b "hard" but overall matchup was in their favor)

you reallly think the only reason 6M engineers is to cover for some attacking skill?

No. clans like 6M and UPH and others engineer to get the highest win streak and things like that.

i think bangkok is an anomoly. they are very very slightly engineered and do heavy wars. honestly they are more balanced than engineered.

First of all, that is not a realistic match-up. The MM would never compile a match like that because the weights would be too far off. Your side would weigh to much. And, nobody in their right mind would give up that much ground. The MM allows many different ways for a clan to strategically proportion its weight. In the end (currently) both sides have equal weight (combined Offense and Defense).

Actually, I don't care at all that you are maxxer. The opposite however, is not so sure, considering the hate and aggression you are directing at engineers. I think the latters may have gotten under your skin.

Engineers don't really care about recognition, do you hear anyone from engineers clans with long wins streak coming here and chest pumping their achievement? The opposite, however, is not so sure - considering all the flaming that was used to be part of the war forum and dominated by maxxers clans of carrots eaters. Even your challenge to engineers, in this post, is a big chest pumping in my eyes.

There are unskilled and skilled engineers just like maxxers. What you may not realize is that many hardcore engineers are first maxxers before getting a second account so they can engineer. Many still war with their maxxed account and frankly I see no problem at all if they take on the CWL people, which you seem to adore.

For the record, I don't even have an engineer base, nor that i am defending engineer clans. I just find many maxxer arguments so illogical that I felt the need to reply to set some record straight.

It is fair. The weight is even. Your version the weights would not be even. Some clans are offensive engineered and others are defensive engineered. You should use whichever one fits your clan ability best. Next time you match an engineered clan, check your defenses compared to theirs. You will have more. They could technically come here complaining about defense engineered clans having more defense then them and claiming mis-match. You clearly can't see the full picture. All you see is that the other clan has better offense. But yours has better defense.

For the record, I'm not against maxxing either. I accept the fact if we run into a maxxer clan with good attacking we could get spanked as our bases would be easier to 3 star. But that generally doesn't happen. If your carrying a bunch of maxed villages that are bad attackers, you are giving the other clan much more war weight to use against you for offensive purposes. But it won't do much for the engineered clan if they are poor attackers as well.

Match TH level? LOL. You really know little about weight do you. It is so ridiculous that even SC will never match by TH level. Want to challenge engineers? It is up to you to take the challenge to them and war according the base weights, which is exactly how the mm currently works. For someone shouting and wanting to fight his equal, your challenge is frankly laughable.

Just to bring people up to speed: The main event in CWL next season will be a 20 Clan "Invite Only" league, competing at TH9-TH11. The final name of that league is still tbd. The next tier will be an additional 32 clan league of the same format (TH9-11) and then there will be two light leagues with clans in the TH8-TH11 range. The final count is not public yet, but I understand that there will be over 100 clans divided between these four leagues. That is over three times what was in the first league and it is constantly growing.

As to WarWhales, yes WW loses wars. That is the heart of what it is to be fair play. You win some, you lose some. Farming wars are just for fun and to try out new stuff.

I simply want people to accept reality n stop making lame reasons y engineer's achievements should b respected. I can care less if u engineer or not n for some I agree n understand y they do it. I just lol at people who try to say engineer war streaks n their abilities should b recognized n respected. Some think im boasting but u really think I care if im good at a game? Lol I only suggested challenge to prove a point bc words without actions r meaningless to me. Everyone can talk a big game but can u back it up? South West 45 are not better attackers or base builders than OneHive, and never will be. In fact to even compare the two in the same sentence is ludicrous.

have no idea why such clans have so many fanboys...i know plenty of excellent attackers/base builders outside those clans...as a matter of fact they have bad attackers in those clans as well and base builders

now war whales lost to some random clan and people say well they were trying new stuff...doing farm wars ♥♥♥♥

keep living in your bubble guys...it's just inflating ones ego that's all

also keep in mind that those arranged wars you have identical bases/ths throughout both clans

regular wars mismatches happen a lot

It was when someone criticized the players from Dark Looters/Reddit Omega about their attacks on the live Clan War Event in Helsinki.
Then NRGenCounsel from Reddit Omega turned up, and issued a formal invite to his clan, to participate in a 'Friendly War' with them.
It was pure comedy gold!

also was not naming players in any clan just what i see (and i do enjoy seeing it, and i know a couple of players in CWL clans)

dismissing other clans is what i think its not a good idea...that's all...don't let the myth perpetuate...just like former TWC clans :)

Every reasonable person knows that the well known war clans don´t have monopoly on great war attackers and base builders. There´s plenty of great players outside of those few "famous" clans.

I´m sure there´s quite a lot of clans that can and would rival those when compared on even grounds. The difference is just that these "famous" clans has way better advertising and are out there to be seen to a certain extent.

But unless clans that rival them start to make a ruckus of themselves then these "famous" clans are what we have for pushing the boundaries for whats possible so that it is accessible for the general clash player to see and get ideas from.
If they are the actual innovators or discoverers of these new things or not is not really relevant as it´s the spreading and inspiration that´s the main point.

It´s just like in the sport world. Just because a team is the most well known (famous) it doesn't have to be the best but those teams are great for inspiring people to become better themselves.

While I wholly agree with the above, I fail to see the relevance for the fact War Whale, supposedly the favorite to win the next CWL tournament, got kicked in their teeth by a random clan. What is more hilarious is some fan boy used the excuse that was a farm war....

Since you guys insist in mentioning these "elite" clans let me just remind you that most of them, specially those famous "Fair play Clans", built their reputation of great and awsome attackers while closet modding was very very very common.
There's been certainly a lot of drama going on with those clans...

Things have changed and I think it's time to give the next generation of great attackers the recognition they deserve.

That sure has been the case here and there but they still sport good attackers with impressive raids and that's what I'm assuming why people keep tabs on them to see what's capable by quality attackers versus good bases.

Now if you have other media sources of (other) war clans that showcase wars with inspiring attacks I'm sure most would be interested.


As for it being time to let the new generation of attackers shine it's not as those "famous" clans don't have roster turnover. Besides if you ain't visible to the clash (war) community how can you really be recognized.
If you want recognition, "fame" or bragging rights then you either need to get into a "famous" clan or do the legwork of establishing your own.

I think we are at a turning point in CoC right now. Those of us who were playing when clan wars was first introduced will remember realizing that the clan they were in, that they enjoyed and bonded with, actually stunk. It was one thing to have a lot of trophies and be a good donator. It was a totally different thing to be good at war. It was a period of revelation because, for the first time, there was a means of comparison.

This is the second period of revelation. Clans that have been considered "elite" for a variety of reasons (youtube, win-streak, mass data comparison such as OP website, etc...) now have a venue to stand toe to toe with each other. Some of them will be proven great, others will be revealed as frauds.

CWL is not perfect. As Rachel points out, it still represents a small number of clans. Also, attackers that were previously closet modders have been found and were kicked. There may still be others. Bases that defended well, because they were tweaked and modified over a long period of time did not signify a great base builder. In the CWL, new bases should be made every single week. Some supposedly great base builders are not as good as everyone thought. However, just as happened when clan wars was released, it is a new and highly effective way to prove which players and clans are worth their salt.

Oooo, not that chestnut again. TWC v Fairplay v Engineer, I really hoped the historic mudslinging was over.

Modders were everywhere, and yes , modders did exist unfortunately in ALL 3 of the above, including 'some' closet modders in some of the famous 'Fair Play Clans' - granted.


Hopefully 2017 will bring about a playing field that's fair, level and joyous to all! :)

Well said. Finally sc made coc just that: CLASH OF CLANS. Hopefully this is just the beginning tho (im sure it is. I understood before y sc didnt pay much attention to wars bc of rampant cheating but now that is mostly cleaned up I hope they focus more on wars now) before it was very easy to manipulate how good or bad u actually r. Now, although still possible, is not as easy. Looks like sc finally rewarding n helping to recognize those who r truly skilled. Alot more can b done as I think this is just the starting point. About damn time too lol. Makes game far more interesting n more reliant compared to past.

Tbh not sure. I been a looner for a longggg time n way before the buff. They were effective to me before so its hard for me to say if troop is op or not bc pre n post update I used em effectively. All I know its good more n more r using em to shake up gameplay n giving people more variety (even tho that option was there before the buff) I think this was sc way of coercing people to use more loons. Shrug
