Rank is what matters in the end right? I see a few of the top clans with a difficulty of 80.0.

do you only get credit for a difficult win if the opponents difficulty level is higher then your clans?
My clan as well as has been discussing this. They have become upset because of engineering clans. They believe it is cheating and unfair. Th8.5 or 9.5 is ok but when u have a th11 that has th5 defenses that is ridiculous. We have faced these types of clans multiple times because they have high win streaks. My idea was increase the weight of heroes as that is pretty much the number 1 reason to engineer
No, you get credit for a win if your clan already has a difficulty above 80.
The current opponent does not matter, but if you play against weak opponents for a while your difficulty will drop and you won't get credit for next wins until you regain your difficulty level. This is were you lineup plays a key part.
A clan that runs only a TH9+ lineup for war will always be included in the ranking.
Wow! This thread wins the daily prize for combining the most sensitive topics together!
Bankok B is a heavily engineered clan. Does that make them cheaters? No, what makes them cheaters is the bot farm they run to build new accounts. Take a look at T.J. Triscano. That single account answers all of the threads on the forum about where all of the "dead" bases went. Totally bot farmed account.
They are engineered, so I personally have no respect for them in the category of "difficult wars". They are not spinning for difficult wars. They are looking for easy wins.
As far as the best "clan with difficult wars", that title will be decided in the next two months by the CWL. My money is on War Whales. Those matches are fare, fun and competitive. But you will not find them in this silly database because they must be done with the Friendly Challenge format.
Anyone that thinks their clan has skills is more than welcome to join one of the CWL leagues. I am personally very interested in CWL starting an engineered league. That would give the engineers a format to prove who is the best at that style of play. But they can also compete in the standard leagues. My compliments and respect to Golden Goblins who have left behind their seedier ways and are putting their money where their mouth is, and doing very well in fare and competitive matches.
What it boils down to is clans that are pushing offense over defense are capitalizing on the fact that the majority of attackers are not elite attackers in war. Therefore they are trading a few key defense (defensive weights on their villages) for extra offense weight to help ensure a 3 star. (No matter if the attack is up or down). If you are a elite attacker and are making this trade it is more beneficial for you compared to a less skilled attacker making the same trade. The best defense is a better offense? lol.
If we really want to see the end of offense over defense bases in war, the clash community as a whole needs to up their attack game.
Other wise clans that are maxing defenses with average attackers are only giving room for other clans to pack in more offense and stay in the same total weight range. On my match tracking thread it always ends up that the other clan has more (in some cases a lot more key defenses then our clan), yet we still win way more then we loose. Every now and then a maxxer clan comes along that knows how to attack and will hand us a loss (though its usually really close as in 1 to 2 stars). We have also been out engineered a few times as well.
.5s that have maxxed defense and offense which basically negates any .5 advantage they can hope to have and for the most part, full on heavy bases?
their wars aren't uber-competitive but they definately do get tough wars based on their heavy bases. Unlike UPH, their wars are much more different and instead of say.. 1/20 for one tough war in UPH, they probably get 1/3 or 1/2
