Paying Interest for Storage
OK, playing and reading these forums it seems one of the biggest complaints is that it takes too long to find decent matchups where you can recoup the cost of your attack. I spent thousands of gold passing up people with 20K/30K for example to try and find someone with at least 200K that doesn't have x-bows, maxed defense (I'm TH8). Its a lot of waste of time and some days, I just give up and don't play.
Here's my idea. There needs to be more reward for having your storages at risk of being looted. Currently there is no reward so everyone gets them as low as they can by putting their gold into walls and their elixir into barracks (after using builders to upgrade what they need). So why not pay interest on resources held in storage when they are not under a shield and not online (basically attackable)?
Just like taking your money to a bank, the bank has to pay you for storing your money there. It should work the same in CoC. I would think 1% per hour per storage would be equitable. That way if you held 1 Million in a storage you would be paid 10K per hour. If you have a good defense, the longer you can stay attackable, the more interest you accrue. This would also diminish farming since the minute you lost your TH, you go under the shield and stop making interest. Wouldn't completely stop it, but maybe make people think twice about protecting it.
I think this would be a good way to have more villages worthy of attacking by increasing the amount of resources available to be looted. What do you think? (I have no idea if this has been already suggested, but I didn't see it in the stickies.)
