I stopped farming a while ago but decided to do it again, I reach a point were I couldn't be competitive anymore, and I'm not planning to spend a lot of gems to upgrade so I'm farming again for a while to focus on defence... Before going back up again. This has of course priority over DE at the moment

Thx... It's makes me reconsider my drills upgrades indeed. Will go for it. Does this make a big difference also to upgrade storage in terms of hit point or is it very little?

i didn't complain about people stealing it lol of course I'm doing the same. My concern was that it was useless, just back and force which made no increase what's so ever :p

It will happen until such a time that dark elixir is no longer in such short supply.

Upgrading your storage helps a little and in time using spells on dark elixir will be as pointless as using them on gold/elixir.

Level one storage has 1000 hit points and level 6 storage has 2400 hit points so it does make a difference.

Level six lighting makes 420 max damage so three of those can only take about half of the max level storage hit points.

You can lose 5% of the dark elixir you have in your storage to a raid. Which means you can lose 2k DE if you have 40k of it in a storage. So you can lose 1k DE to 3 lightning spells if you have max level storage and 40k DE in there :)

Farming is also a form of cheating too.
If we look closely, the higher level folks deserve this (people stealing DE using just lightning spells). Because if high levels players do not drop trophies, they won't encounter lower level ones.

Basically the problem is because DE is rare now. As time goes by, the situation will improve.

Well I don't see it that way... To me, it is a legitimate way to advance in the game without paying big amount of money. Not everyone has their pocket full to advance in this game. Give farmers a break please. I have been farmed myself for a long time and it didn't impact my progress much. If supercell didn't make this game impossible for non gemmers with those insane costs, there would be no need for farming....
And again, I have no problems been attacked, I'm actually a preferred target now for my DE and I accept it, the only point I made was to see very little progress on it, for anyone actually.... But it will come with time :)

So could you explain to me how a lower level person being attacked by a maxed defensive base and has no way of a revenge is really any different than your DE being attacked by lighting ? Do you really not see why some people may feel that farming is away of cheating or that lighting with DE may also be thought of in the same way...As some have explained with the higher end players attacking each other to give a cheap shield along with the trophies situation as well.
I don't understand how you can have a problem with one but not the other....oh wait, your doing one to another and another is being done to you......oh it's so wrong :confused:

I think that Supercell should take a look at this game and how it's played....money say's a lot.
