My village needs some tips

Dear Clash of Clans players,

I'm a town hall 10 since approximately the end of August, 2016. I really would love to get some advice from some good CoC players.

This is my village: What should I upgrade? What do I REALLY need to level up? Thanks! By the way, both heroes are upgrading to level 21 and the Barbarian King will go to level 22 as soon as possible (so, after he's done upgrading).

Upgrade the troops and spells you use most to farm and *war. Upgrade defenses how you see fit. Dump loot into walls, and try to keep leveling up the heros. Do it however you want, or however helps your clan the most

Your base looks good, basically upgrade whatever troops you use. I would say upgrade barch for farming, but if you don't use that then don't.

We could help you more if you said your goal (war/ farming) and what strategies you want to use.

Looks alright to me. I'd say do teslas, archer towers, cannons first. Giants, wiz, bowlers and freeze. Other troops based on how often you use them or want to use them.

For offense, upgrade your war troops and spells first. For defense, splash damage first.

If farming is your thing upgrade: Giants, archers, goblins, barbs in whatever order you think you'll use them the most.

If war is your cup of tea uggrade: bowlers, Giants, wall breakers, poison

If you want to get in on the latest LaLoon craze: Hounds, Haste 3 and 4

Upgrades are not the problem, it is your base. Stop using symmetrical internet bases.

The potential attacker has 30 seconds to decide whether or not to attack, make a quick plan and start deploying troops. When you have a symmetrical base that is easy to understand, it makes it simple on the attacker. By looking only at the left half of the base, I already know what the right side looks like.

As an attacker, I know that I can attack from any direction and it will not make a difference because the traps and defenses are evenly spread around the base. As SunTzu said 'Strength everywhere is weakness everywhere.'

My own village is asymmetrical. No two compartments are the same size or shape. Because of this design, over 90% of attacks begin at exactly the same spot on my base. That is the spot that looks weakest to the eye, if you can't see the traps and defense ranges. In reality, the defenses have been carefully placed so that teslas, BT and WT are near that spot (shortest range) then cannons and archer towers, then Xbows. All these defenses converge on that spot. Giant bombs and spring traps are placed with this same concept. I know where the attacker will attack before he ever sees my base. This translates directly into defenses.

hmm... While I agree about using ethernet base I am not so sure about symmetrical base. It is possible to make a symmetric base and put all the invisible stuff (tesla, traps) on one side, say closer to the DE storage. This works wonder. 80% percent of the attacks on my base come from the DE side.

Your English is good an easy to understand. I am also quite new to th10, since November. I would recommend upgrade troops and not worry about defence. However more information would help. Are you losing defences? Finiding war difficult? What are your aims with the game, what is your clan like and what do you enjoy most.

Start with Bowler, giant, freeze to 5. Then consider wall breaker and golem. It really does come down to upgrading what you intend to use, as someone said if you want to get in on the new balloon activity the go for air troops - baby drag, hound, minion.


Defences: If war is your thing, upgrade walls, tesla, air def and air sweeper. If you don't care for war then go inferno, xbow, wiz tower, then the rest

Thanks for your tips. My heroes are upgrading, and soon after the Barbarian King is level 21, he'll go straight to level 22.

Right now I dropped trophies, to farm better than before. It took forever to farm up some loot, now that I'm in the crystal league farming actually goes pretty well with the goblin knife. And thanks, I hope my English still improves, my vocabulary isn't the greatest.

Thank you! Right now I'm using farming troops the most, so I'll most likely upgrade the archer or the barbarian after the golem is done (it's going to level 5 right now).
