Yes, correct the matchmaking to remove the strategy. It is an exploit.
No difference than TH sniping was. It was legal. It was the most effective farming strategy. It exploited a poorly designed system. SC ruled it an abomination and removed it.

Our war match-up was 8 maxed th11's to our 3, and their 7 maxed th10's to our 3. Most of those bases were manufactured, and I'm not sure how that was fair, but we took our butt beating kind of well. I "get it" it's part of the game, but there has to be a happy medium for all.
We have given in and are putting three low lvl ths in for war matchmaking. Our 4 th 8s this war don't even have 1 good base to practice on. It's pathetic it has come to this. I've always thought eliminating the th 8s would help but that doesn't seem fair. Th 8s should have a place in war after all.

Engineering is not an exploit, as it is not an external piece of software. xMod was an exploit. Perhaps engineering isn't fair in your eyes, but that does not make it an exploit. At least use terminology correctly.
Solution, join max th11 wars.
Not a max th11? That's your problem, then.
