UI changes that would have no impact on the game balance.

Hello,

Over the time I have collected a lot of ideas that would make the UI much better than today. They should have no impact on the game itself, just make it easier to usw. Most should be easy to realize.

Please comment!

1. Clan management
   
   1. In an international clan communication is more difficult due to time zones. Therefore on the clan member overview page include a flag for the country the player plays in and/or the time zone he/she is located. Optionally allow this to be set automatically through localisation settings.
   2. Allow a clan message to be build up as a poll. Make visible who answered and how.
   3. Allow an internal clan description (i.e. clan rules).
   4. Allow more than 50 members in a clan (but maximum 50 for war). This is different than just increasing clan size like stated in the "ruled out" ideas.
   5. If for some reason you don’t want 1.4. at least allow linking two clans and allowing elders and higher to switch between them without loosing their ranks, without being approved, etc.
   6. Whoever leaves the clan during war, cannot come back until the war is over (only works with 6.3).
   
   
2. Troop building
   
   1. Have a 'transfer' button from army queue to active troops. This should avoid the needless scrapping of troops.
   2. No matter if troops are transferred automatically or manually include a button ‚smart refill’ that transfers from the queue taking into account your last army build.
   3. Allow changing order of troop building in the quick train setup.
   4. When visiting a clan member, indicate how many days the builders need on a specific building (mostly queen/king/warden).
   
   
3. Chat
   
   1. Have a separate chat for challenges. Clan castle requests should be visible in both channels. During challenge periods chat becomes unreadable.
   2. Reduce challenge results in chat in size. It should only occupy one line.
   
   
4. Challenges
   
   1. Allow players to set up a permanent (24h) challenge, which is re-launched when consumed.
   2. When challenging put a checkmark if current CC troops shall be used or the ones in your war CC request. This would work especially well with 6.1.
   
   
5. Member ranks
   
   1. Members with 'member' status cannot scout war bases or view the war clan castle content if not participating in the war. This should solve the spying issue.
   2. Members with 'member' status cannot spy war bases of previous opponents.
   
   
6. Donation and requests
   
   1. The request screen for regular or war clan castle requests should optionally be build up as the army setup screen. Meaning you 'build' a 10/15/20/25/30/35 slot army. The result should be that only specific troops and quantities could be donated. I think everyone of us has donated wrong troops by mistake and this should solve the issue. Also sometimes to players donate at the same time and the request is messed up. E.g.: Request is 5xBowlers and 1xGiant, but accidently you get 2xGiants from two players.
   2. Allow editing your war clan castle request when not in war.
   3. Allow donations to friends in other clans.
   4. Allow donations while in clouds (only non active squat) or in spectator.
   
   
7. War organisation
   
   1. Allow a war team roster to run two wars in parallel (especially having in mind 1.4.).
   2. Allow a yellow war status meaning ‘could join if needed’. By default all green members are choosen and the yellow just to meet the quantity requirement.
   3. Allow marking a target in war (your name appears next to it). Allow a small comment to indicate when you will be attacking, requesting help, etc.
   
   
8. In fight
   
   1. You should not have to scroll the interface during a fight. Leave the players the option to a) scroll b) adjust size of units c) two lines
   2. Do not let the borders of a base fade out. Leave them visible during the entire fight.
   
   

I think that all your points will improve the ease and enjoyment of play, especially for active, warring clans. Point 1 and its sub-points are particularly important for such clans, and will make managing a 50 x 50 War more efficient for clan leadership.

Great ideas daniel totally agree with them except the prevent members from seeing war clan castle troops and scouting bases because that would mean more should be elders if they want to fill the clancastles...unless they add another rank ofcourse(between member and elder that allows them to view and fill but not accept members) and that shall solve the issue

For this, looks like you didnt get it, members with member rank cant see cc troops and stuff, i think this applies only for players that are not in cw.

Otherwise, most of it is good idea, i support you in this

Totally agree with 24 hours challenge, better if the challenge is automatic, no need to give or req challenge first. Friendly challenge tab will be great and the clashers only change the base if they want

i like them all except 1.4 this has been ruled out by SC, but except for that i think SC should take a look at it

I REALLY REALLY like the idea about receiving troops by 'building an army' in the troops request bit instead of typing out the request. I think that'd really fit in the game

Good ideas. About the member thing, clans can start making all their members elders so they can spy. Just pointing that out.:)

1.4) This is still ruled out. The list says nothing about clan wars or anything, the concept of an increased clan size is ruled out
1.6) We don't need to be locking people out of their clans. I know this should be in conjunction with 6.3, but I'm not there yet

2.1, 2.2) I guess...I'm done trying to figure out why people refuse to use the system as it exists in an optimal way rather than try to have it changed. Not because a change is a bad thing, but because before that change happens, you're needlessly causing problems for yourself. I don't have to scrap troops because I don't use the queue system to queue two armies because it isn't optimized for that. If that's what we think we should be able to do with the queue system, then change away

5.1, 5.2) Both are management issues. My clan doesn't allow anyone who isn't trustworthy in during war, so I've never been spied on. I don't believe this is an issue.

6.1) Even if this is only to correct mistakes and isn't about people being selfish donors, it still isn't perfect. What if you forget to change your request? As it is now, if you accidentally request giants, you can modify your request in the next chat line by asking for balloons instead. You can't do that with this system.
6.3) No, see, that's part of the clan aspect. People within a clan help each other out. Why would I even need a clan if I could just ask my friends for all the troops I'd need?

7.1) Nope. Since 1.4 isn't happening, 7.1 isn't necessary
7.3) I think as far as claiming tags go, all you should be able to do is mark an opponent for three hours. This would let people see which base you'd like to hit, but wouldn't stop others from attacking it. Adding a whole bunch of information would just be annoying to see or even get set up

8.1) I dunno what the best solution to this is, but I agree on the whole that scrolling sucks

If I don't have a comment about a point, it's because I agree with it. Kudos on the list

Overall its a terrific list. I did note some that are ruled out and others that had problems preventing them from working, or being exploitable. But for those I was sad because in all cases I still liked it even if I accept reality on them. But also there were many I liked a lot, some I loved and even some I have been annoyed they havent dont already.

I espe ially liked how he made it a point to stay away from affecting game balancing. Its a level of forethought we often dont get, this guy did it to a high level so kudos.
