How to get Fair and Competitive Wars, and Avoid Engineered Clans

Lots of us speaking and wanting fair matchup. Me also in the same bus. But why a th5 attacking a th5 has to face maxed troops from defensive cc. And why a th4 attacking another th4 with maxed troops in its cc. Make it simple...
(1) donated troops can't be higher than than the receiving th level.
(2) if u attack a lower/higher th you will earn -1 star than the result. ie if you 3 star a th8 as a th9 the clan earns 2 star from the atk. Or if ac wants to keep the 3 star, why not adding another star award in addition to the result which indicating attacking and defending th. Or the attacker troop gains or looses its original level depending on the defenders th. Imagine a th11 with maxed troops attacking a th9 expecting to bully... And his maxed golems turns into lv4, his bowlers turned into giants or some other troop (cos th9 can't have bowlers) ... Haha who would want to have a maxed th11 troops with lopesided defence to atk a th10 when he cant have those troops when needed. If he atks a th11 no reason to be unhappy for me. But his lopesided defence gonna cost him.😍😍😍

Oh, come on, if you can't kill anything that fits in your own TH level clan castle, you need to opt out of war until you can. It just isn't that hard if you know what you are doing. You can take along max troops in your own clan castle to help, if necessary (but it shouldn't be).

You are lucky they did it for you. A mod told me they usually will not. :)

I have a question for anyone. What is wrong with the idea of giving a TH a minimum war weight?

For example, a TH10 will have a minimum war weight of a max TH9 or nearly max.
A Th9 will have a minimum war weight of a nearly max TH8?

And so on down the line.

This would allow people to upgrade anyway they wish too but probably make it a bad idea to engineer.

And my question to you is what do you have against rushers? The blind casual rushers who have a Th10 but TH7 offense and defense should be automatically matched to a max offense/defense Th9? And the strategic rushers who are just trying to get to Th11 ASAP should suffer as well? You are just as selfish as the engineers; you want your playstyle to be the dominant and advantageous one.

Cant punish a certain style of play. If engineers go away then my maxing playstyle would be the next on the chopping block. Im hoping for a MM that can allow both to play in harmony. We're getting there, but there's a long way to go.

Supercell did punish a style of play with the December 2015 update. I think it was december. Where they did away with the TH outside of the walls so people could get free shields.

They allowed it but they made it a very poor choice. They said they did this because the game was never intended to be played this way.

They have said the same about engineers. And reading between the lines, your reply indicates that if you can't gain an unfair advantage then you don't want to do it. That's exactly what I hope to see happen.

You can still put your TH which is a storage outside your walls and not get a shield but the price is heavy. You can still rush but the price will be heavy.

I don't see any difference in this amd tje price than the other one rushers pay. If you rush you offense you will find it hard to gain loot at some point because of the penalty.

As for the other person that I asked what I have against rushers, nothing. I just don't' want them in my clan and I don't want to have wars against people with an unfair advantage.

Jonas said, in an interview with Chief Pat a while ago, that he considers altering your war weight to be how the game was meant to be played. Admittedly, that is only one developer's viewpoint but as the devs are reportedly split on the issue I don't think that we can say that SC's position is that engineering is not the way the game is intended to be played.

I will happily agree that it should not have an advantage but nor should any other playstyle.

Yep, maxxers wanting SC to kill engineering is the same as an engineer telling a maxxer to adapt or quit. Both sides are trying to dictate how the game should be played. Though engineers don't really care how you play the game, as long as your not breaking any rules. They are doing their thing while you are doing your thing.

Engineering clans get stomped regularly, but I feel that it's not as big a deal because they know they tried their best and it just didn't work out. Thats why we don't see any nerf maxxer clan complaint threads. It may be the opposite for a non engineered clan or an out engineered clan that looses. It's apparent that a group of somebody's invested a lot of time and effort into the war to win and the other clan just showing up as is was left holding the short straw.

In my opinion, it really comes down to who wants to win the most. The more important winning is to a person can be reflected by the amount of effort they put into the game. Everybody has the same tools, some are just more motivated then others and use them to their advantage.

If two people run a race, the looser can't accuse the winner of cheating because he trained harder/longer. The looser put in the amount of effort he deemed appropriate but came up short. Hence they way it is in clan wars currently.

All that being said, I think personal village engineering is fine as you are optimizing yourself for war to excel at something. Where we get into trouble is when those efforts can be expanded upon for a global effect which could result in an unwinnable war. But until the issue is fixed, there will be highly motivated people/clans that will put together the ultimate roster. Just be glad there are not a lot of highly motivated clans out there.
