How to make the most out of it?
I personally used mass gobs, Giargo, Gigowiz, Gibarch, Barch, Giwiz (too costly for farming however). You can use QW into these other strats, unless the queen is upgrading.
With my th9 I like to do a pekka charge with hogs (HGHB with pekka instead of Giants), going for th9 with a least 3000 DE ...
barch with 50-70 troops, gold 3+
by goblin knife you can upgrade both heroes, and still farm DE without heroes or cc request
Even though its an expensive elixir army I've been killing it with 10 loons, 17 baby drags and a max lava in the CC. For spells I'm bringing 2 lightning, 2 rage and a haste with an EQ in the CC. This attack also has the benefit of getting me 3 stars on nearly every attack. I have always gotten all the DE with this troop combo.

I have a max th9 now, and I used like 20 giants 16 wizs, 4 wbs and rest gobs. You can change as you see fit. 1 rage, 2 heals, 1 jump. You can get de from pretty much any th9 base.
I cant find loot in my th8, thats down in G2, so best of luck finding any good loot bases.

17 baby dragons, 10 ballons, CC hound, lightning and rage.
GiWiz with some gob,arch(uses arch to take down enemy cc if lurable with help of some wiz also) and 3 EQ + 1 EQ CC, 2 heal, 1 rage. Dark elixir spent is 420, and attacks bases with 2500+ DE

I roll Kimchi style mostly with variants. I have an 8.5 in C1 and rising
Base build is 24/50 about 580 Dark with a Haste L1: a smidge more with Poison L2 at 625 Dark
Variant 1 is: 1/24/35. Hound cuts into the minion count, and increases the Dark toward the 880 with a haste, 925 with Poison spell.
Spells are a mix of what I am trying to accomplish. typically 2 Heal 2 Rage. varies from 2 Freeze and 4 haste. to 2 Freeze 1 Heal 1 Rage.. or the Zapquake variety of 2 Thor 2 Rage (or 4 Haste).
if you aren't into loons adding drag/baby drag or Dragloon variants cut the dark and spike the elixir..
at any rate, you can comfortably see steady gains from 2.5K and up every raid so the 580-625 is pretty splash in the pan, and depending on league is absorbed in winning.
I don't need Royals (they are often both sleeping anyhow) and can get the 70% + for the FULL bonus vs another TH9 regardless of which league I am in and if they are maxed or not.. so starting at Masters 3 and 2 then the bonus covers most of the dark army cost.. trophies aren't a problem and you get lots of other loot in the process, plus daily star bonus. if you war then even more loot...
