Prep day is redundant now that you can't scout enemy bases and plan attacks.
Once the war ccs are filled you are twiddling your thumbs for a day.. how about a "we are ready" button available to the clan leader so once war ccs are filled you can be ready to start as soon as the enemy clan does the same. If either side doesn't press the button then it reverts to the standard 23hrs.

This is an excellent idea! Some issues would arise, for example most wars are planned based on time (life, family, plans, etc.). But the option for the leader to click it would mean both sides are ready. I like it!
With searches taking up to 4hrs it would also help to get back to the preferred start time for a clan
Yes great idea! We fill our war castles pretty quick and just wait around for war because we can't scout until war starts.

Not a good idea. Most clans plan their wars for certain times of day based on time zones and when people are able to be on to be able to donate troops. One person being able to decide their clan isn't doing a 23 hour wait can really throw everyone else out. Bypassing the 23 hour period might make it so some clan members are only able to be online at time when nobody else is, making it impossible for them to get CC troops to do attacks, if they are even able to plan them at all.
My clan does war searches at 8PM Central Time for a reason. It's what gives us the best opportunity to use all our attacks.
I agree with morober, it would be as good because we also have clan wars starting about 7/8 o clock at evening, so we have one full day to attack, we tried also starting cw at lunchtime, but plenty of players were not ready and had to excuse themselves for not attacking, imagine this situation, cw starts at evening, you dont have any time, you only know when it started, you also know, that you will have time almost when cw ends, so, if there is this button, you probably wont be fast enough to play even one attack ...
True, but as noted above, the agreement of leaders of both clans are needed to push the "ready" button. It could therefore be used to ENSURE that wars start at the scheduled time (thus making up for search time delay, or just general delay in starting up a search by the leaders).Quote:

Here's an example. We do one of our searches Tuesday at 8pm. Wednesday around 7 war stars. Wednesday evening people can see enemy bases and we do this thing called "planning" that you may have heard of. Wednesday evening when war starts a lot of us don't attack because we are looking at the bases and determining how we want to attack them. Most of our attacks come Thursday afternoon and evening within the last 8 hours of war. I have no idea what TH level you are but once you get beyond TH8 your attacks require a lot more planning if you want to do a 3 star attack. If our clan leader decided at 11pm on Tuesday that we're ready to go, and the other clan agrees, then war will end at 11pm Wednesday. This will mean all our players will be in for a surprise when they log in Wednesday afternoon and expect war to begin soon, only to find war began 18 hours ago and they only have 2-3 hours to plan both attacks.
Here's another point. As you know, we can't use heroes when they are upgrading. Because of this, I only do 1 clan war a week. I'm one of the exceptions to the rule of attacking within the last few hours. I do both my war attacks immediately after war starts. This is so I can get one of my heroes upgrading right away so they will finish upgrading in time for the next war. Because of this I depend on war always starting at the same time. If I begin an upgrade for my king at 9PM Wednesday, then he will be ready at 9PM the next Wednesday. But if someone hit the "ready" button at 9PM Tuesday and war starts, I will either have to attack without my king, not attack at all, or gem my king back up. This would royally screw people like me over who plan their upgrades around clan war times.
What happens if we do a war search, have castles filled in 20 minutes, hit the "ready" button, but the enemy clan doesn't hit the ready button for 12 hours? Then the war stars when NOBODY on my side is actually available anymore because we were ready hours ago and at that point we are all either sleeping or at work.
Bottom line is for a lot of clans, wars are actually scheduled for specific times for specific reasons. If you are the type that joins some random joe blow clan that want to do a war whenever without any thought or planning, then this idea might work. But for those of us who enjoy winning wars, we stick with what works.
You could have this feature, but our clan would never use it. Then the problem is that clans who dont end prep day early will appear to be trolls when in reality they probably have a schedule that makes sense for them.

This has been mentioned before, one huge flaw: say we search 7pm fill cc and hit ready. The other clan is on other side of the world and hits ready at 3 am our time. Now we have a war that ends at 3 am, good luck trying to maximize stars.
There a hundreds of threads on this topic. Not sure why we need another.
Several others have listed the very valid reasons why this will not happen but what I didn't see is that it will speed up the rate at which clans can earn perks and loot which are certainly tangible benefits, i.e. it's exploitable so it won't happen.

A decent clan leader isn't going to throw his clan under a bus.. and if your clan only wars once a week then this has no relevance to you. For b2b war clans with up to 3hr searches this feature would be gold.
For those who like to keep at a certain time for war starts this enables you to do it.. might be a 21hr prep day etc

Great idea. Add in a confirm and count down timer for enemy team leader so both sides can have the war start on a acceptable time.
This may increase the amount new clans as you don't have to wait as long as before to level up.
we all need this but a few will suffer by this update , that 1 whole day is for preparation and other 1 day for battle , but some people are really fixed to this criteria , like whenever to attack , donate cc troops , war plans , etc . if someone gotta ready it , then they need to get more time , hence they could leave war attack !

This would be a very good idea. The clan i am in takes around an hour to 30 min to search and I can only do my attacks at a certain time.

Cool idea, just as long as the time prep-day is shortened will be added to war-day, so the total sum of a war will stay 47 hours :)
