Fair enough turns out after testing that it does in fact work, I thought the bolt spread wouldn't allow it to work (it's possible they tightened the bolt spread at some point, lots of folks used to have issues with lightning not doing "full" damage).Quote:

Sure its an offensive advantage but hes also at a defensive disadvantage too. So now lower level guys can 3 star it leaving upper bases to be attacks with other clan members. We run into this all the dang time and too many people complain over these engineered bases. Just get better at attacking at the top and you wont need to worry about those bases. And just because they may have the troops doesnt mean they can execute in a way to be beneficial in war. If they are attacking a th9 in war its A) either to clean up and get the most stars possible, or B) they arent very good in the first place and can just spam attack to get the 3 star. Just last war, Im a TH11, I dropped to 3 star an engineered th10 that had th9 defenses just to get the most stars possible. I dont see the problem to here in that??? Isnt that the end goal?Quote:

I understand what youre saying. Our problem isnt an attacking problem, its a matchup problem. Matchups are being created that shouldnt have been created in the first place. Thats the problem with engineering. Engineered clans are guaranteeing themselves almost 100% destruction everytime.Quote:

Low chance of them actually matching, but the clan with the higher offensive power would actually have a higher advantage if they were to ever actually match right. And half of clan A would have trouble touching the opposing Clan B because they have a defensive AND offensive advantage.
I know what youre saying to but case in point, we just went against 2 straight clans that have a fair share of engineered bases. The top end of those clans had weak bases our top guys crushed and our middle had a hard time with their middle do to those engineered bases. So overall the matchup was about right since we had to have th10s and 11s drop to cover bases with th9 defenses. I suppose if every single base is an engineered 11 or 10 it might be different story but I havent ran across that yet. Maybe about 10 to 15 engineered out of 30 is the most ive seen.Quote:
