Can anyone tell me how to start over in this game? I am at such a level that it is boring and I am uninterested in playing in a neighborhood. I want to start a game from the beginning, but I am unable to delete the game, and redownload. I have erased data on iPad settings, but the download simply gives me back the farm I deleted. Or is it possible to have two farms on the same device?

i play 2 farms in 2 devices, each attached to a different fb identity. 2 farms can be played on the iphone, that allows change of fb user., and one of the farms cannot be linked to game center. Just be careful not to lose a farm. The ipad does not allow this change.
when you say you erased data on the ipad, what did you do, a total reset of the whole pad?
There are no rules preventing you having two games on one device, but SC doesn't support it, so there's no help if it goes wrong.
You can't remove it & download it again to restart the game. I really don't know why not.
Ask Santa for a new device? There might just be time for the elves to sort something out.
Have you done/thought about doing the Scorched Earth challenge?
It seems that your game is attached to your Apple ID. That is why it won't really "reset" the game.
If you are bored, definitely consider the Scorched Earth Challenge that SmallChange suggested. It may just be the change you are looking for.
When I had to download the game again (can't remember why) I seem to remember being asked if I want to down load the existing game or start over.

you need to log out of your GC first under your ipad's settings. also logout of fb if your game is connected to fb. after that delete and redownload the game then you can start it as new.

To summarize:
- Running two farms on the same device is not supported by SC. That doesn't mean it won't work. It just means if you have problems and ask them about they are allowed to respond "Not my problem"
- OP is not trying to run two farms on the same device
- Farms are tied to GC and/or FB accounts. You cannot change that! Once tied, using that GC or FB account means you are using that farm.
- So... Create a different GC and/or FB account. Then start the new farm and tie it to the NEW accounts.

I've done it.
It involves resetting your device, as in losing all the other info on your device. Resetting to factory settings.
Then creating a new GC account, or FB and downloading the game.
No, you shouldn't have to factory reset your device. Just make sure you are logged OUT of Facebook, game center, and Apple's iCloud.
